A Palestinian media watchdog reported Wednesday that official Palestinian Authority TV is “libeling” Israel by falsely claiming that Israeli wartime restrictions at Al-Aqsa mosque are intended to facilitate an extremist Jewish Passover sacrifice.

Israel’s across-the-board ban on public gatherings of more than 50 people out of security concerns went into effect following the outbreak of war in Iran on Feb. 28.

But an inflammatory report on Monday on official P.A. TV said that the limitations were geared to enable Jews to carry out a Passover sacrifice at the Jerusalem holy site, which has long been a tinderbox in the Middle East.

“The Jerusalem Governorate emphasized in a statement that what is being done [against Al-Aqsa] is not within the framework of temporary security measures as claimed by the occupation authorities, but rather constitutes part of a political and ideological process seeking to change the religious, historical and legal reality of the holy compound at the Temple Mount (Al-Haram Al-Qudsi Al-Sharif),” the TV presenter said in Arabic, according to a translation by Palestinian Media Watch.

“Exploiting the fact of the continued closure of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the gates of the Old City for ten consecutive days now, during the month of Ramadan, under the pretext of the security situation, extremist Temple organizations have launched awareness campaigns, with the aim of carrying out what is called the Passover sacrifice inside the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque [i.e., the Temple Mount]. These campaigns include calls to sacrifice an animal on the Jewish Passover holiday inside Al-Aqsa Mosque this year … within the framework of unprecedented developments for the conquest of Jerusalem,” the reporter added. “This step is considered a dangerous escalation and an attempt to establish new facts on the ground at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

The Israeli High Court of Justice has long rejected petitions to carry out Passover sacrifices near the Temple Mount, citing a threat to security and the inflammation of religious tensions. Israeli police have also intervened to prevent a Jewish group from carrying out such practices.

Chandler does not take this seriously, even after a bird begins following him and he sees an astral projection of the Child. The next day, Cheryll is found dead near an abandoned house smeared with Tibetan graffiti and a pot full of blood-soaked oatmeal. Kee reveals to Chandler that this house was a holding place for the Child and introduces him to Doctor Hong, a mystic expert, and Kala (a creature half dragon, half woman).

Chandler and Kee track down a motorcycle gang, the Yellow Dragons, which Cheryll had joined, and Chinese restaurant owner Tommy Tong, a henchman of Numspa, to whom Cheryll had been "sold" for her blood, a way to make the Child vulnerable to earthly harm. However, Tong is killed by Numspa as a potential traitor. Still not taking the case too seriously, Chandler is drawn by Numspa into a controlled dream. Numspa presents his demands: the Ajanti Dagger (a mystic weapon capable of killing the Child) in exchange for the boy. Chandler agrees to help, and he and Kee spend the night together.

Chandler and Kee travel to Tibet, where Chandler is swindled by an amulet seller, later revealed as the High Priest of the temple where the dagger is kept hidden (and, subsequently, Kee's father). To obtain the knife, Chandler has to pass a test: an obstacle course in a bottomless cavern whilst carrying a glass of water without spilling a drop. With luck and wits, he recovers the blade and brings it into the United States.

That night, Numspa and his henchmen attack Chandler and Kee. The Ajanti Dagger is lost to the villains, and Kee takes a crossbow bolt meant for Chandler, dying in his arms while confessing her love for him. Doctor Hong and Kala offer him hope: as long as the sun shines upon Kee, the Child might be able to save her. With the help of the Child's familiar, Chandler locates Numspa's hideout, retrieves the dagger with the help of Til, one of Numspa's men converted to good by the Child, and frees the boy. When Chandler confronts Numspa, he reveals himself as a winged demon. Chandler and the Child escape, only to be trapped inside a warehouse. Chandler loses the dagger when the warehouse collapses.

Chandler and the Child head to Doctor Hong's shop, where Kee is being kept. Numspa attacks Chandler, but the amulet the Old Man sold Chandler protects him, then blasts the dagger from Numspa's hand. The Child uses his magic to place the dagger back into Chandler's hands, and Chandler stabs Numspa, destroying him. The Child then uses the last rays of sunlight and his powers to bring Kee back from the dead. The three later take a walk discussing the Child's return to Tibet.

The Six-Pointed Star is going into its fourth edition. There have been thousands of letters over the years and comments are available upon request. The questions which are asked of this author are:

What made you even remotely curious that the six-pointed star might not be "Jewish"? After all, it is called the "Star of David" and has it not become the international insignia of Jewishness and the State of Israel?

The controversy and the challenge are answered in the book. The quest began at York University, Ontario, Canada, when an Orthodox Jewish friend of mine was investigating Messianic Judaism. Our intellectual conversation covered many topics which included the so-called Star of David, which he said he did not use as the symbol G-d really gave the children of Israel was the seven-branched Menorah. Being a journalist, he challenged me to explore the six-pointed star. And I accepted the challenge, with the plan that I would prove its Jewishness. After all, I wore one and felt I had to defend it, even to him.

That was the summer of 1979 and the research took me four years to complete. I found a few Jews who knew it was not Jewish, and these are mentioned in the book. Others did not think about it, and most did not care whether it was orignially occult or not - they did not think it mattered. I checked Jewish sources and all their encyclopaedias attested that it was not originally Jewish and was not used as the symbol for any of the twelve tribes of Israel. Jewish sources said it wasn't originally Jewish. So, what was it? That took four years of research. From archive to archive, library to library...history book to history book.

The first mention of the star was in Amos 5:26 regarding the trek from Egypt to Canaan. Then in 922 B.C., when Solomon married the daughter of Pharoah and went into magic and witchcraft and built an altar to Ashtoroth and Moloch. The book traces the six pointed star from Egypt to Solomon, to Arab Magic and Witchcraft, to Druid use(references are documented). The book traces the star through Freemasonry usage to Mayer Amschel Bauer, who, in the 17th century, changed his name to depict the red six-pointed star (or shield) which he had hung on his door in Germany, and thus began the family of "Red Shield" or Rothschild. The research carried on through this family, to their court of arms, to Cabala, to Astrology, to Hitler and his putting a yellow six-pointed star on all Jews during the holocaust, to the Zionist symbol, and finally to the flag of the State of Israel and beyond.

Because this symbol is comprised of a six within a six within a six (6 points, 6 triangles, 6 sides of the hexagon in the middle) the research also included a look at the 666 prophecies in the Book of Daniel etc., regarding the "wilful King" (anti-Christ) and the "mark of the beast". The Scriptural significance of the number seven and a Biblical description of the real Messiah and the seven-branched Candlestick (Menorah) which God gave to the children of Israel as an everlasting covenant (which is also mentioned in the New Testament) is covered. All the sources are written at the bottom of each page making it easy for readers to see and check for themselves.

I started out to defend this symbol, but ended up shocked and quite devasted with the evidence gleaned from the academic research. The Farnese Cup or Tazza Farnese is a 2nd-century BC cameo hardstone carving bowl or cup made in Hellenistic Egypt of four-layered sardonyx agate. It is at the Naples National Archaeological Museum.[1] It is about 20 cm (8 in) wide and similar in form to a Greek phiale or Roman patera, with no foot.[2][3] It features relief carvings on both its exterior and interior surfaces.[2][3]

There is no surviving evidence regarding when and why the piece was made, though there is consensus among scholars that it was created in Alexandria, due to the blending of Ancient Egyptian and Ancient Greek or Roman iconography found in its relief carvings. This provides a range of time wherein it may have been created, spanning from approximately 300 BC to 20 BC.[2][4]

The underside has a large Gorgon's head occupying most of the area, probably intended to ward off evil. The upper side has a scene with several figures that has long puzzled scholars. It seems clearly an allegory containing several divine figures and perhaps personifications, but corresponds to no other known representation and has been interpreted in several different ways.

History

The origin of the Tazza Farnese is unknown, leaving archaeologists and art historians to theorize a date and purpose for its creation. While its size and the material used are usually considered, theories of origin are mainly arrived at via individual analysis of the iconography of the piece, and therefore vary from one analysis to the next.[2][3][4]

Many archaeologists and art historians attribute the Tazza to the Hellenistic Period, asserting that its blending of Greek and Egyptian cultural symbols, as well as the funds necessary to commission such a large gemstone cameo, tie it to the Ptolemaic court.[4] Though not a widely held view, more recent analyses of the piece have assigned it a later date in the Augustan Period.[2][3]

After Octavian's conquest of Egypt in 31 BC, the Farnese Cup was possibly acquired by the Treasury of Rome; according to some, it was only made after the Romans took Egypt. It seems it was later taken to Byzantium, then back west after this city was sacked in 1204 during the Fourth Crusade. By 1239 it was in the court of Frederick II,[5] from which it then reached the Persian court of Herat or possibly Samarkand, where a contemporary drawing documents it;[6] thence it found its way to the court of Alfonso of Aragon in Naples, where Angelo Poliziano saw it in 1458. Lorenzo the Magnificent finally purchased the famous "scutella di calcedonio" in Rome, in 1471. From there it came into the possession of the Farnese family through Margaret of Austria and thus into the Naples National Archaeological Museum[1]

On February 10, 1608 the first stone of the Facade was laid and on July 21, 1612 most of the work was completed. It took another two years for the ornamentation, and the basilica was finally consecrated by Urban VIII on November 18, 1926.

Above the basic structure is an attic, with eight square windows decorated with small pilasters, surmounted by a balustrade and 13 statues in travertine. The statues on the balustrade represent Christ the Redeemer (19 feet high), St. John the Baptist and 11 Apostles. St. Mathias is included because he is associated with the other "Eleven" in bearing witness to Christ's Resurrection. St Peter is not included because his statue is below in the Square.

When Carlo Maderno started to build the facade, he was bound to the already existing Michelangelo's wings. He just put the attic all around the building, as planned by Michelangelo. That creation looks mighty and dynamic along the west side of the Basilica but is disharmonious in the facade. For this reason, at the far sides of the facade, Maderno planned two bell towers which lightened and soared the building. In 1621, at the death of Paul V, the ground subsided and the building of the two bell towers had to be stopped.

In 1646, Bernini tried to erect the bell towers again, but had to demolish the left-hand side bell tower because of cracks in the facade. Only the bases of the bell towers remain, two archways at the sides of the facade that seem to form part of it while they should have been separated. This was remedied in 1790 by the installation of two clocks designed by Giuseppe Valadier.

The eight gigantic columns of the facade are almost 10ft wide and 90 feet high.

The restoration of the facade and the 13 statues, begun in April 1985, was concluded on November 30, 1986. The original copper cross (1613) in the arms of the statue of the Redeemer, which was replaced by a new one during the work, was given to the Knights of Columbus in recognition of their support for the restoration.

"Q Who" is the 16th episode of the second season of the American science fiction television series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The episode first aired in broadcast syndication on May 5, 1989. It was written by executive producer Maurice Hurley and directed by Rob Bowman. "Q Who" marked the first appearance of the Borg, who were designed by Hurley and originally intended to appear in the first season episode "The Neutral Zone".

Set in the 24th century, the series follows the adventures of the Starfleet crew of the Federation starship Enterprise-D. In this episode, the almost-omnipotent entity known as "Q" (John de Lancie) arrives on the Enterprise and decides that Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) is ignorant and overconfident. Q then sends the ship across the galaxy where the crew make first contact with the cybernetically enhanced assimilating race known as the Borg. After first trying to make peace and then trying to destroy the Borg ship, and failing at both, Picard is forced to beg for Q's help.

Costume designs were created by Dorinda Wood, while Michael Westmore developed the prosthetics worn on the actor's heads. The designs were reminiscent of creations of H. R. Giger and the character Lord Dread from the television series Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future. The episode went over budget and nearly required additional filming time. "Q Who" was watched by 10.3 million viewers. The critical reception has been positive, with the episode described as the first "great episode" of the series.[1] It was nominated for three Emmy Awards, winning two.

Plot

On his way back to his quarters, Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) steps off a turbolift and instead of finding himself in a corridor onboard the Enterprise, ends up on board a shuttlecraft with Q (John de Lancie) at the controls. Picard demands to be returned to the Enterprise; Q calls him "an impossibly stubborn human" and refuses to take him back until he agrees to at least hear Q's requests. Q then transports them to Ten Forward, where Guinan (Whoopi Goldberg), who recognizes him, warns Picard not to trust him. Q reveals that he wants to join the crew to assist them as they push further into unexplored regions of the galaxy, asserting they are not ready for the threats they will encounter. Picard chooses to make their own way into the unknown, and rejects Q's offer. Irritated by Picard's arrogance, Q sends the Enterprise thousands of light years across the galaxy, then disappears. Lt. Commander Data (Brent Spiner) reports that the nearest starbase is over two years away at maximum warp. A fearful Guinan warns Picard to set course for home immediately, but Picard is curious to explore.

The crew discover a nearby planet that shows signs of a previous civilization but has been stripped of all industrial and mechanical elements, similar to destruction found several months ago at Federation outposts bordering the Romulan Neutral Zone. Moments later, they detect and are then met by a large, cube-shaped vessel which does not answer their hails. Guinan warns Picard that the ship belongs to the Borg, a powerful, cyborg-like race that nearly wiped out her people, scattering the survivors across the galaxy, and again urges Picard to leave immediately or face certain destruction. Though Picard orders the Enterprise's shields raised, a single, speechless Borg transports into Engineering and begins to probe the Enterprise's computer systems. Lt. Worf (Michael Dorn) initially attempts to incapacitate the intruder with his phaser set on stun, which has no effect. Worf is forced to use the kill setting in order to neutralize the Borg. Immediately afterwards, a second Borg appears and continues probing the computer, now proving to be completely immune to phaser fire. Completing its mission, it strips several components from the dead Borg, then transports itself and the dead Borg away. The Borg ship contacts the Enterprise and demands their surrender. The Borg then immobilizes the Enterprise with a tractor beam, disables the shields, and uses a cutting beam to slice into the saucer section to remove a cross-section of the ship, killing eighteen people.

Picard orders return fire, and the Enterprise apparently disables the Borg ship. Against Guinan's advice, Commander William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) takes an away team to the immense Borg cube where they find mostly dormant Borg drones and a Borg nursery. Data discovers that the Borg ship is regenerating and repairing the damage made by the Enterprise. The away team is beamed directly to the bridge, and Picard orders that they depart at Warp 8. The Borg ship suddenly reactivates and begins pursuit, gaining on the Enterprise. Picard attempts to outrun the Borg by ordering Lt. Commander La Forge (LeVar Burton) to engage maximum warp, but the Borg are able to keep up. Q appears on the bridge and warns Picard that the Borg will never stop chasing them, and cannot be defeated. Picard attempts to fight back against the Borg to no avail, and finally admits he needs Q's help. Q obliges, safely returning the Enterprise to its last position in Federation space. Picard, though thankful for Q's lesson, blames Q for the deaths of his crew. Q disappears, but not before reminding them again of their ill-preparedness. Guinan warns Picard that now that the Borg are aware of the Federation's presence, they will be coming. Picard reflects that perhaps Q did the right thing for the wrong reasons by bringing forward their encounter with the Borg, as it has informed the Federation what lies ahead of them as they continue to explore.

Throughout history, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem has been subject to entry restrictions on the basis of religious affiliation. These restrictions have varied depending on the time period and the authority in power. Like the rest of the Holy Land, the site holds great significance in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, among other Abrahamic religions.

Under the Ottoman Empire, there was an absolute ban on non-Muslim entry to the Temple Mount before the Tanzimat, which was a period of liberal reformation that began in 1839 and continued until 1876. Following the Tanzimat, non-Muslims were allowed to enter the site as long as they requested a special permit from the Ottoman authorities. Under the British Mandate for Palestine, the British government was prohibited by the League of Nations from interfering with the Ottoman-era "Status Quo" and the Jordanian Hashemite custodianship continued to exercise administrative control over Christian and Muslim sites throughout Jerusalem, with non-Muslim access to the Temple Mount still requiring special permission.

During the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, Jerusalem was divided, with Israel capturing West Jerusalem and Jordan capturing East Jerusalem, including the Old City. Under Jordan, the present-day Jerusalem Islamic Waqf was established and non-Muslim access to the Temple Mount remained limited; Jews and Israelis (incl. Muslims with Israeli citizenship) were banned from entering the site entirely. During the 1967 Arab–Israeli War, Israel captured all of Jerusalem, but kept the Jordan-based Jerusalem Islamic Waqf in power of affairs concerning the Christian and Islamic sites there.

At present, Israel and Jordan continue to have administrative responsibility over the Temple Mount, with the Israeli government controlling entry and the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf managing what is known to Muslims as Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, which includes the Al-Aqsa Mosque.[1][2] Jews and Christians are generally restricted from entering for extended periods and may only visit the site as tourists, as the Status Quo only permits Muslim prayer on the Temple Mount; Jewish entry restrictions are also dependent on the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, which holds the position that entering the site for prayer or worship goes against Judaic law. However, Israel also frequently prohibits Palestinian Muslims under the age of 55 from entering the site, which, according to Palestinian politician Mustafa Barghouti, makes more than 95% of the Palestinian populace ineligible.[3] Due to widespread tension stemming from entry restrictions and religious activities, clashes between Israeli police and Palestinians are common at the Temple Mount, including at Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, among other sites.

Vatican Moves on Temple Mount

Within two months of the end of Camp David the Palestinian Authority

birthed the second intifada – a terrorist war on Israel, but giving Israel a

continual bloody nose did not yield the desired result. Israel soundly

defeated the second intifada moving the Palestinians back to square one.

Present Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has now implemented a

different tactic: to get the UN to step in and impose a solution on Israel.

US Secretary of State John Kerry restarted negotiations in July of 2013

bringing Israeli and Palestinian negotiators together in Washington to

restart formal negotiations after a more than three year void. A nine month

deadline was set which ended April 31st 2014.

How did the talks go? What was being worked out behind the scenes?

No one is talking, at least not to the press. US Secretary of State John

Kerry clarified at the outset of the talks which he labored so intensively to

restart that he would be the only one authorized to speak on their progress.

"The negotiations", he said, "would only succeed if held far from the

bright camera lights." Only if the negotiators were not required to report

to their own domestic audience after each meeting did the talks have any

chance of succeeding. Therefore, Kerry said, he would be the only one

discussing the progress. But he never revealed much beyond platitudes

about the need for peace and the courage of both Prime Minister Binyamin

Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in

deciding to reengage. The talks failed to meet their deadline.

Just weeks after the last round of the U.S. sponsored peace negotiations

faltered, Pope Francis embraced the divided Middle East leaders to

preside over Christian, Jewish and Muslim prayers at the Vatican in a bid

to revive the collapsed peace talks. The Associated Press reported:

Vatican officials have insisted Pope Francis has no political agenda by

inviting the two leaders to pray at his home other than to rekindle a

desire for peace among the two parties.

However, the meeting could have significance on the ground beyond

mere symbolism.

The meeting will also cement Francis' reputation as a leader unhindered

by diplomatic and theological protocol who is willing to go out on a

limb for the sake of peace.

John Kerry had made a previous January pit stop in Rome to discuss

the peace process between Israel and Palestine, this would indicate he

knew the talks were not going well. With Pope Francis' visit to the Holy

Land in May and subsequent invitation of the parties to the Vatican, the

United States had hoped the Pope as a key ally could push both sides back

to the negotiating table. The Vatican Prayer Summit seems to have gone

very well. Time will tell.

Over the course of the last decade the State of Israel has been

subsidizing nonprofit organizations that advocate the building of a New

Temple atop Jerusalem’s holiest site: the Temple Mount. The Israel

Education and the Culture Ministries have transferred substantial amounts

of funding to the non-governmental organization known as The Temple

Institute. Should this be an indication to the Palestinian Authority that it

needs to make certain major concessions to get what it wants? Perhaps the

trump card Abbas will need to play is to grant access to the Temple Mount

for Jews, a partition to allow Israel to build a Temple on the Temple

Mount. Until the Palestinian Authority plays this card, Israel may move

no further.

Add to the mix the present Israel-Vatican negotiations over the Holy

Basin and this is the move that the whole world is waiting for, peace

between the three great Abrahamic faiths, sealed by equal access to the

Holy Basin and the most holy site of all, the Temple Mount. The term

“Holy Basin” refers to the area of the Temple Mount, the Mount of Olives,

Mount Zion and a variety of Christian holy sites which the administration

of former U.S. President Bill Clinton recommended be administered under

a special regime. Pope Francis, upon celebrating his first Christmas as the

Vatican State leader, prayed for a "favorable outcome" to the peace

process between the parties, and called for dialogue to end the conflicts.

Though John Kerry is still not talking we can observe the parties as they

jockey for position.

In recognition of Bible Prophecy, the belief that we are on the verge of

the Mark of the Beast One World Money System, we can also anticipate

the Temple Mount play about to begin. I will expose in this book the

fallacy of the counter-reformation futurist scheme of prophecy as a

completely unbiblical interpretation. However most of the Evangelical

and nominal Christian world has totally bought into this view through

Seminary/Ministry indoctrination and Corporate Christian Media

exposure, and not because of sound biblical interpretation.

Some may even regard as conspiratorial, the mainstream re-release of

the Left Behind Movie with Actor Nicholas Cage portraying the main

character as an attempt to further reinforce in the minds of all, this

perception of biblical prophecy in order to condition the masses for the

play about to begin. Because they see the world stage shaping to fulfill

what they have been led to believe is sound interpretation, a "Left Behind

Rapture” scenario, this false view of prophecy is reinforced in the mind of

not only its adherents, but also includes those who have been merely

exposed to the specific media through popular movies such as Left Behind

and the fictional book series.

Is it possible that false prophecy can be fulfilled? The rapture theories

have always been in dispute: pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib disputes have

risen up in exclusively evangelical circles of recent history, so that when

"true believers" don't suddenly disappear this element will easily go by the

wayside when all see a New Jewish Temple begin to be built. Will this be

a part of the great delusion that will come upon the whole earth? It seems

that this great prophetic delusion has already overcome practically the

entire American Evangelical and Christian World!

The Vatican/Roman Catholic's version of events is this:

They know this isn't the end of the story that the Jewish G-d had in

mind, but that doesn't mean they won't try and engineer their own

ending to the story. So what if it is fraudulent. Doesn't matter, that is

their game plan and that is what matters and that is what Israeli Jews

need to be better informed about. It is important for everyone to know

what The Vatican has up its sleeve because it directly relates to our

existence and our future destiny as an independent nation. This, a very

powerful force is scheming to get control of the Old City of Jerusalem

so you better know why and how the Vatican intends to do this...

First, you have to realize that for centuries The Vatican has attempted to

obtain control of Jerusalem, which started with the Crusades. For them

to convince the world that the Messiah they put on the world's stage is

going to be accepted as genuine, they need to perform this play in the

Old City. The story of this production is that this "Messiah" will merge

the three monotheistic religions, usher in peace and harmony in the

world, and solve the Middle East conflict. The location for this

"production" will be in none other than the Old City of Jerusalem.

This so-called "Messiah" that will be proclaimed, will be a false one

and it will insist that by having a "world government" (i.e., the United

Nations) the world peace and harmony will be ushered in. This will be

a lie, and a fraud, but never mind. In our world, reality isn't important.

Public perceptions are. The end result is the stripping of Israel's

sovereignty as an independent nation giving way to a "regional bloc of

nations" in the Middle East. Israel will be pressured to accede to these

demands by all world bodies and the superpowers on the claim that

"this is the only way to solve the Middle East conflict). In order to the

Jews to go along they will convince them that with the "Messiah"

having appeared for the Jews, it is time to start rebuilding the Third

Temple - what they call "Solomon's Temple". This version of events is

widely available through a simple search on the Internet as there are

many Christian groups and organizations (the majority of which who

are very pro-Israel) who don’t buy into these beliefs and thus are

against them. I didn’t come up with the theory - I am just bringing it to

the attention of the Israeli public.

Make no mistake about it. The Old City of Jerusalem, as well as most

of the eastern half of the city, is what The Vatican is after. Why?

Because controlling the entire Old City of Jerusalem (and not just

Church properties) and being able to build whatever they want on

Mount Zion is critical for the program they have planned to put into

play in our capital city. The deal that it has signed with Israel via Yossi

Beilin and Shimon Peres (in secret and without the approval of the

Knesset) gives The Church not only extraterritorial status to their

properties (which is what the bi-lateral agreement the Israeli

government signed with the Vatican on December 30th, 1993, put in

law) but of control over the entire city as "custodians" under UN

presence. In this way the Jews will give up control over the Old City.

To the Vatican the Israeli people would have a problem with. To the

UN, they would say, "we had no choice".

Evangelicals today are waiting with bated breath for a New Jewish

Temple to be built and a Priest-Temple Sacrifice system to be resumed.

They seem to have no problem with this wrong sacrifice for sin (according

to the Gospel) taking place, but reserve the title, Abomination of

Desolation for the “Left Behind” Anti Christ character moving into the

Temple and proclaiming himself to be God. Something similar to this

may or may not happen.

Entertain if you will the idea that there are powerful forces at work in

this world with the motivation to take advantage of this very compelling

and popular, but specious view of prophecy, a juxtaposed seventieth week

of Daniel, or we could call it The Seven Year Tribulation Deception. At

the time for the building of a Jewish Temple a figure will arise who fits the

bill of the Anti-Christ of the popular pseudo prophecy. This Anti-Christ

character will follow the popular view close enough to be accepted by the

adherents of this Futurist/Left Behind Rapture orientation to be

misidentified as the True Anti-Christ, while at the same time through

popular media manipulation he will be accepted by the world as a

Peacemaker when he makes a mid-east peace deal which includes the

building of the New Temple.

To follow the script, three to four years into this Treaty the deal will

begin to unravel and have to be abandoned. Perhaps a conflict will arise

out of opposition to the Third Temple. The deal will be broken! Islam

will most likely at some point balk so any deal with their leadership to

allow it is doomed from the start. The Vatican cannot allow it to be

completed because any sacrifice other than their bloodless sacrifice of

trans-substantiation is unacceptable. Only Orthodox Jewry desire a Third

Temple as true believers. Evangelical adherents are true believers with a

different motivation, which is to bring about events that will precipitate

the return of Christ, however they are unwitting participants in the design

of the counter-reformation eschatology that they hold so dear, false

prophecy.

We can only speculate that these events will likely be accompanied by a

major multilateral military conflict or threat in the mid-east, and the world

will cry for peace as would be expected. Then will step onto the scene the

True Anti-Christ bringing peace to that conflict. Because he fulfills the

false prophecy and vanquishes the first treaty breaking Pseudo Anti-Christ

he will be accepted as the fulfillment of the popular prophecies of the

return of Christ proclaiming that he is The Vicar Of Christ, His

Replacement on Earth and the true meaning and fulfillment of Bible

Prophecy. He may propose the building of a Synagogue for the Jews and

a Cathedral to represent Universal Christianity which will accompany

Islam's Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount, thus uniting the Three

Great Abrahamic Religions as one, bringing peace to the region and the

entire world.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew

great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall

deceive the very elect. (Mat 24:24)

The fulfillment of this false prophecy will delude the entire world and

even the Elect, if it were possible. True Bible Believers will suddenly be

the majority dissenters and will be demonized for all the ills that have

plagued the world and precipitated the former crisis; eventually Social

Justice will require that they be eliminated for the good of the whole. This

has happened before, it was called The Inquisition, and The Bible tells us

that it will happen again. Past Inquisitions have lasted extended periods of

time, so the coming crusades may even go on for decades. How

comforting the thought of relegating tribulation to a mere seven or three

and a half year period which may even then be escaped by a “pre- or midtribulation

rapture” based entirely upon a the seven year tribulation

deception. How many hundreds of millions of bible believing martyrs

would have benefited from a rapture type escape?

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the

image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would

not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all,

both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in

their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell,

save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his

name. (Rev 13:15-17)

The Bible tells us about the mark of the beast which will be necessary

so “that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark.” Receiving

this mark will be the test of whether you are or are not a part of the New

World Social-Economic Order. True Bible Believers will need to discern

exactly who or what this beast is and what is or does this mark represent.

For that we must turn to The Bible and true prophecy. If you are a True

Bible Believer you will not just dismiss the things that I am exposing here

without due investigation. If Daniel's seventieth week is truly past then

every prophecy that is based on this seven year period being future is

tenuous at best. I challenge all to find that gap between the sixty-ninth

and seventieth week for themselves - it is not there - so don’t feel bad if

you cannot find it, even Chuck Missler will not take up the challenge to

Show Me The Gap. This revelation changes everything prophetic. Be not

deceived.

Jerusalem Corpus Separatum

...Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the

Gentiles be fulfilled. (Luke 21:24)

Corpus Separatum (Latin for "separated body") is a term used to

describe the Jerusalem area in the 1947 United Nations Partition Plan

for Palestine. According to the plan the city would be placed under

international regime, conferring it a special status due to its shared

religious importance. The Corpus Separatum was one of the main

issues of the Lausanne Conference of 1949, besides the other borders

between Israel and Palestine and the question of the right of return of

the Palestinian refugees. The plan was adopted by the General

Assembly with a two-thirds majority, although its implementation

failed and the view that Jerusalem should be the capital of both Israel

and Palestine internationally is widely supported now. (wikipedia)

Israel Resource Review, The Vatican's Jerusalem Agenda. Did

Shimon Peres make a deal with the Vatican?

Consider the evidence:

On Sept. 10, '93, just three days before the signing of the Declaration

of Principles in Washington, the Italian news magazine La Stampa

reported that part of the peace deal was an unwritten understanding that

the Vatican would receive political authority over the Old City of

Jerusalem by the end of the millennium. The newspaper reported that

Shimon Peres had promised the Pope to hand over the holy sites of

Jerusalem the previous May and that Arafat had accepted the

agreement.

In March '94, the Israeli newsmagazine Shishi published an

interview with Mark Halter, a French intellectual and close friend of

Shimon Peres. He said he delivered a letter from Peres to the Pope the

previous May, within which Peres offered the Vatican hegemony over

the Old City of Jerusalem. The article detailed Peres's offer which

essentially turned Jerusalem into an international city overseen by the

Holy See.

In March '95, the radio station Arutz Sheva announced that it had

seen a cable sent by the Israeli Embassy in Rome to the Foreign

Ministry in Jerusalem outlining the handover of the Old City of

Jerusalem to the Vatican. Two days later Haaretz published the cable on

its front page. The Foreign Ministry explained that the cable was

genuine but someone had whited out the word "not." ie We will not

transfer authority to the Vatican. Incredibly, numerous Bnei Brak rabbis

who had canceled Passover meetings with Peres over the issue of the

cable accepted the explanation and re-invited him to their homes.

The Foreign Ministry's Legal Affairs Spokesperson, Esther Samilag,

publicly complained about "various capitulations" to the Vatican. She

was immediately transferred to a post at the Israeli Embassy in

Katmandu, Nepal.

MK Avraham Shapira announced in the Knesset that he had

information that all Vatican property in Jerusalem was to become tax

exempt and that large tracts of real estate on Mount Zion were given to

the pope in perpetuity.

Jerusalem's late Deputy Mayor Shmuel Meir announced that he had

received "information that properties promised to the Vatican would be

granted extra-territorial status."

Beilin was forced to answer the accusations. He admitted, "Included in

the Vatican Agreement is the issue of papal properties in Israel that will

be resolved by a committee of experts that has already been formed." If

so, this committee has not since released any proof of its existence.

With all this in mind, how do we interpret the Vatican's current position

on Jerusalem?

The following report, circulated by MSANews may shed some light on

that:

Vatican City, Jun 14, 1997 (VIS) - Archbishop Renato Martino,

apostolic nuncio and Holy See permanent observer to the United

Nations, spoke June 9 on the status of Jerusalem at the New York

headquarters of the Path to Peace Foundation. The archbishop

addressed members of this foundation as well as U.S. members of the

Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He began by

briefly summarizing the "well-known and long-standing position of the

Holy See with regard to Jerusalem. He stated that Jerusalem "for us, of

course, along with the rest of the Holy Land, is that special link

between heaven and earth, that place where God walked and ultimately

died among men. And of course we recognize that others revere

Jerusalem as the city of David and the prophets and the city known to

Mohammed.... It is a spiritual treasure for all of humanity, and it is a

city of two peoples, Arabs and Jews, and of the three monotheistic

religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam."

Archbishop Martino added that "in recent years it has been

increasingly difficult to break through the political and media-imposed

stranglehold on the question of Jerusalem." he recounted Jerusalem's

recent history, recalling in particular the UN's General Assembly

Resolution 181 of 1947 calling for Jerusalem to be considered a 'corpus

separatum' under the Trusteeship Council of the United Nations," a

resolution which Israel accepted. He pointed out that, in addressing the

gridlock which has resulted from the 1967 Israeli occupation of East

Jerusalem, "the Holy See has therefore advocated the granting to

Jerusalem of an 'internationally guaranteed special statute. That is the

phrase used by Pope John Paul II in his 1984 Apostolic Letter

'Redemption is Anno'."

This statute "asks that regardless of how the problem of sovereignty

is resolved and who is called to exercise it, there should be a supranational

and international entity endowed with means adequate to

insure the preservation of the special characteristics of the City, its Holy

Places, the freedom to visit them, its religious and ethnic communities,

a guarantee of their essential liberties, and its city plan'."

The apostolic nuncio recalled the establishment of diplomatic

relations between the Holy See and Israel in 1993, when both signed

the 'Fundamental Agreement." He noted Article 4 of this agreement

where "both the Holy See and Israel affirm their continuing

commitment to the 'Status quo' in the Christian Holy Places."

He also spoke of the problems sparked by Israel's recent

authorization of "a project for the construction of settlements in

occupied territory in East Jerusalem" for which "there was wide-spread

international condemnation." This issue, he reminded those present,

was brought before the UN Security Council on March 7 and March 21

of this year, but without resolution "because the sole country on the

Security Council which opposed the Resolution was the United States."

An Emergency Session of the General Assembly, "organized only

nine other times in the history of the United Nations" was held on April

24-25. The Holy See delegation was contacted and asked for

suggestions for a Resolution, Archbishop Martino said. And he

recounted the meetings, rough drafts of proposals and negotiations

which followed.

The approved texts of the eventual Resolution, he underlined,

contained "those points championed by the Holy See.... The General

Assembly has here called for 'internationally guaranteed provisions' -

the equivalent of the 'internationally guaranteed special status' called

for by Pope John Paul II. This is particularly noteworthy because in

this case, the Arab delegations all voted for this Resolution and

therefore for this provision."

"The Holy Places within Jerusalem," concluded Archbishop Martino,

"are not merely museum relics to be opened and closed by the

dominant political authority, no matter who that might be at any given

moment. They are living shrines precious to the hearts and faith of

Could that supra-national entity which will oversee the international

city of Jerusalem be the Vatican just as Peres promised? And how do

we react to Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert's recent announcement that

he will begin negotiations with the Vatican, but "only over holy sites?"

Even after Israel pushed it's aggressor enemies beyond Jerusalem's

boundaries in 1968, Israel remained compliant to the U.N.

recommendation by allowing the Islamic Waqf to maintain control over

the Temple Mount. I can think of no other reason why Israel did not move

in and destroy the Dome of the Rock and other Islamic edifices to take

possession of the Temple Mount other than “the times of the Gentiles”

prophetically spoken of by Jesus has not yet been fulfilled. The Daniel

chapter two Mystery Babylon Image still stands.

For the most part the world refuses to recognize Israel's sovereignty

over Jerusalem even though the United States Congress in 1995

overwhelmingly passed the "Jerusalem Embassy Act" stating that

"Jerusalem should be recognized as the capital of Israel and the United

States Embassy in Israel should be established in Jerusalem no later than

May 31, 1999." The provocative nature of this issue continues to prevent

the actual move to this day. The facts on the ground ultimately prove that

even the United States denies Israel's sovereignty over Jerusalem until this

very day.

Jerusalem Old City Initiative

The Jerusalem Old City Initiative, was bolstered by the implementation

of the Oslo Peace Accord and is a fruit of the peace process and inter faith

dialogue. The 2005 formation of The Council of the Religious Institutions

of the Holy Land with Muslims, Jews, Catholics and Christians in its

governing body has in their statement of faith the declaration of a one

world type of religion which contends that all faiths lead to the same god.

Statement of faith:

As religious leaders of different faiths, who share the conviction in the

one Creator, Lord of the Universe; we believe that the essence of

religion is to worship G-d and respect the life and dignity of all human

beings, regardless of religion, nationality and gender.

– Chapter Two –

The Rapture Will Be Canceled

Well not really canceled, perhaps we’ll just have to postpone it a couple

of times before it's called off altogether! The starting point for our little

examination will be a present day building of a Jewish Temple on the

Temple Mount, and unless you’ve been hiding under a rock you know that

millions of dollars worth of preparation have already been made toward

this end. When it begins you may want to lay down all of your

presupposition, because I’m sure of one thing, that there will be plenty of

surprises for all concerned.

However this starting point will need something bigger than money, it

will need a treaty of some sort, because Jerusalem with the Old City has

been declared an “International City” and that means it belongs to the

Nations. Jesus said, “…and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the

Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” (Luke 21:24) And

that word ‘Gentiles’ is the same word that may be translated ‘Nations’

from the original Greek, so he could have said, “until the times of the

Nations be fulfilled” because in context it actually means “nations other

than Israel”. I believe this is a reference to the same event described at the

end of Daniel Chapter Two where the Mystery Babylon Image is

obliterated at Messiah's Appearing.

The rebuilding of the Jewish Temple and re-institution of the Priest

Temple Sacrifice System have been foretold numerous times through the

Old Testament. But, every instance of this prophecy has been followed by

its fulfillment with the Rebuilt Temple after the Babylonian Captivity and

the seventy years Desolation even though it was not built completely to

the specifications of the book of Ezekiel, (I believe it will never be built to

those specifications until after Jesus returns). Does this mean there will

not be another attempt to build the Jewish Temple and restore the Priest

Temple Sacrifice System before the Messiah returns?

It is very likely that there will be an attempt to build a Third Jewish

Temple, but it may or may not be completed, because the Bible does not

have one prophecy of the rebuilding of this Temple that was given after

the actual Second Temple was completed as chronicled at Ezra chapter six,

(which was later refurbished and expanded by Herod). The omission of

such prophecy and specific language detailing a Third Temple may lead us

to safely conclude that such prophecies have been completely fulfilled and

any attempt to build another Temple in this era may or may not reach

fruition.

When an agreement or treaty does arise which includes the building of a

New Temple, for many in the Christian and Evangelical World this will be

the starting shot for what they believe to be a Seven Year Tribulation

Period which is based upon a non-literal interpretation of the Daniel

Seventy Weeks prophecy. The Daniel text simply does not support this

supposition because it is based solely upon conjecture. Taken literally the

events of Daniel’s Seventy Weeks were allotted a four hundred and ninety

year time period within which to be fulfilled and history shows that it has

been completely fulfilled. More about this later.

Nevertheless it is more than likely that a Third Temple will commence

to be built to the end of restoring the Priest Temple Sacrifice System. And

when this happens all of the Rapture enthusiasts will become very excited.

But their enthusiasm will be shortly tempered when they do not begin to

fly away. All of the Pre-Tribulation Rapturists will suddenly join the Mid-

Tribulation Rapture camp and hunker down for another three and a half

years.

The Politician who is assigned to bring this Treaty or Agreement will be

identified by the adherents of the Left Behind/Seven Year Tribulation

scheme of Eschatology as the Anti-Christ character commensurate with

those fictional books. They will not be disappointed in the fact that any

treaty will be broken and it is unlikely that the Temple Sacrifice System

will even be instituted. Whether the Sacrifice actually begins or not, just

the end of the agreement will be enough to qualify as “putting an end to

the sacrifice” as required by the script.

The script calls for this to happen in the middle of the Pseudo

Seventieth Week and will be followed as close as possible so that when the

first three and a half years pass the Rapture adherents will once again be

ready to be raptured into the air to meet Jesus and the dead in Christ! But

they will be disappointed once again requiring a last grasp to the Post-

Tribulation Rapture position. Of course this last three and a half years will

pass in desperate anticipation by those who have now been disappointed

twice. Surely this final wait will be absolutely secure in its expectation

because in the minds of those indoctrinated in the Left Behind-Seven Year

Tribulation Deception there is no other position to move to.

By the end of this Counterfeit Seventieth Week enough of the attributes

of the Fictional Series will be accomplished to satisfy its true believers.

The Puppet False Anti-Christ who makes and or breaks the treaty will be

deposed or worse. This will also be the final blow to the Rapture and for

its adherents, the death of hope for a resurrection event that precedes the

grave. The New World Social-Economic Order with its main features:

Social Justice, Charity in Truth, Financial and Religious Equality (Social-

Commu-Facism) will be introduced to a world that has been thoroughly

conditioned for the event by a team of New World Leaders.

These leaders, with the True Anti-Christ who will assuage their

disappointment by proclaiming, “I Am the Vicar of Christ, the true

fulfillment of the prophecy and now begins a Millennial Reign. an

Evolution to a New World Social-Economic Order of Peace.” A Jubilee

will be proclaimed, National Debts will be forgiven to kick off the New

Fair and Equal Monetary System. The Three Great Mono-Theistic

Religions will be united in peace. It will be like heaven on earth! The

requirement of forced peace, like Pax Romana will tell the tale, as the

Messiah warned, “the violent take it by force.” No one will ever be forced

into the true Kingdom of God, this would violate the very principle of the

Gospel of the Kingdom which requires voluntary repentance. This is why

Social-Commu-Facism is an abomination to God.

All of the Ecumenical Evangelical Religious leaders will affirm to their

congregations, “that there has always been a debate about the Rapture...

Pre – Mid – Post – Tribulation, so that we should not be disappointed

because what is sure is the gospel that we have learned for the last hundred

years. Don’t you know, we get to go to heaven when we die?” And all the

people will exclaim, “Oh Yea! We get to go to heaven when we die!”

However this too is a subtle deception because Jesus never said, “Repent

for you get to go to heaven when you die.” Rather He did warn of bad

preachers who would “shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye

neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.”

Mat 23:13

Jesus' Gospel was different, He said, …Repent: for the kingdom of

heaven is at hand. (Mat 4:17) and the Bible clearly teaches that we go to

the resurrection when we die only if we are already in His Kingdom for

He also proclaimed , …he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall

be saved. (Mat 24:13) Nowhere does the Bible teach that the Resurrection

is preceded by a seven year tribulation period. Neither does it teach that

the resurrection follows Daniels seventieth week. When you see the

Temple begin to be rebuilt it may actually initiate a seven year countdown

to the overt reign of the True Anti-Christ and the beginning of the New

World Social-Economic Order with its companion Mark of the Beast

Monetary System. Please do not be so quick to dismiss the almost

unbelievable, but very carefully crafted great delusion exposed here.

How are we respond to these things? We should continue to walk in the

Spirit and be led by the Spirit, our Creator calls His Elect to obey to His

commandments, allow His Holy Spirit to bring forth the fruit of

repentance in your life, “the good works which God has before ordained

that we might walk in them.” If you cannot obey Him now, how do you

think He will lead you when the time is critical? Learn to trust and obey

Him now and you will be able to hear and obey Him through this Global

Great Depression, coming world conflicts and Mark of the Beast

Inquisition. Cross the Border into His Kingdom, obey the King and live

forever, nothing is more important!

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the

kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither

suffer ye them that are entering to go in. (Mat 23:13)

Rapture Origins

I never could understand the Secret Rapture Doctrine, how does that

work? Millions of people disappear from the earth, and nobody

notices? What is that, a Doctor Who episode?

Unfortunately, we are not talking about a Doctor Who episode. The

reason it is a secret is because God did not put it in His Word! This fact

alone I find very troubling. But God first revealed it to a Church of

Scotland minister, named Edward Irving, who was the first to preach the

“rapture gospel” about 1830. One of his church members, Margaret

MacDonald consequently had a vision from which the pre-tribulation

rapture sprang. This “secret rapture” was promoted by Irving claiming he,

too, had heard a “voice” from heaven commanding him to teach it. Some

modern researchers submit that Irving’s speculations of the “...rapture

were influenced by the Spanish Jesuit Priest Lacunza, whose book Irving

had translated in 1827 under the title, The coming of the Messiah in Glory

and Majesty.”

Today Rapture Eschatology is a purely Protestant and Evangelical held

doctrine. Official Catholic doctrine holds any one who believes in a

literal-physical return of Christ and a thousand year reign to be heretics

according to Mark Mallet the Modern Catholic Evangelist and Prophet.

So the question arises; Why are Protestants using a Latin word like rapture

instead of English or at least the Greek from which our Protestant Bibles

are translated? Perhaps the speculation which has scrutinized Irving’s

work as springing from the influence of the Jesuit Priest Lacunza should

be seriously considered. Especially in light of the fact that the highly

debated three raptures are anchored upon a false interpretation of Daniels

70th week and the counter-reformation end-time Anti-Christ eschatology

of another Jesuit Priest, 16th century Francisco Ribera.

My conclusion? Rapture is a Latin cult word. I believe in the

Resurrection. That God did not put the rapture in His Word can only be

explained by the fact that He allegedly kept it a secret until He revealed it

to Mr. Irving about 1830. What this means is that God gave him a private

interpretation! I think the bible adequately addresses the subject of private

interpretation:

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that

ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day

dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: (20) Knowing this first, that

no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. (21) For the

prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God

spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2Peter 1:19-21

There are very few verses that directly address the Resurrection in

detail. You will notice that none of them incorporate time lapsed phases

into the event nor is it anywhere said to precede, divide or follow a seven

year tribulation period. Neither is it ever related to Daniel’s seventieth

week.

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them

which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which

sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the

word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of

the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself

shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we

which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the

clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-

18)

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be

changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the

trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we

shall be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

The challenge is to find:

- Any verse that explicitly divides the resurrection into several events.

- Any verse that explicitly states that the resurrection is tied to a seven

year tribulation period.

- Any verse that explicitly places the resurrection in, around, or at the

end of the seventieth week of Daniel.

The Rome Wolfram & Hart CEO explains that they always use the bomb on first-timers as a prank, and replaces their damaged clothing, including Spike's "irreplaceable" jacket. After being locked out of her office, Spike and Angel return to Buffy's apartment where Andrew tells them to let Buffy move on, saying that although she loves them both, they need to give her some space and move on themselves or they could never again have any chance to reunite with her. Frustrated by their inability to contact Buffy and by the demon butler's chicanery on The Immortal's behalf, Angel and Spike return to LA, where they find the head on Angel's desk with a note signed by The Immortal. Though outraged that he "distracted" them again while he put the moves on "their" girl, Angel and Spike realize that they do need to move on.

James I (late July 1394 – 21 February 1437) was King of Scots from 1406 to 1437. The youngest of three sons, he was born in Dunfermline Abbey to King Robert III and his wife Annabella Drummond. Star Trek Generations is a 1994 American science fiction film and the seventh film in the Star Trek film series. Having learned that they can travel whenever and wherever desired through the Nexus, Picard convinces Kirk to return with him to Veridian III, shortly before Soran launches the probe.

Working together, Kirk and Picard distract Soran long enough for Picard to lock the probe in place; it explodes on the launchpad and kills Soran. Kirk is fatally injured in the effort, and Picard buries him at the site. Three Federation starships arrive to retrieve the Enterprise survivors from Veridian III. Picard muses that, given the ship's legacy, the Enterprise-D will not be the last vessel to carry the name.

Biblical Astronomy of the Star of David

The Star of David is an ancient sign and symbol that predates even ancient Israel. This symbol has a wide-ranging and multi-level history, reaching into numerous cultures across the globe. Early renditions of this important symbol are found on several Cylinder Seals dating as far back as circa 2500BC, exhibited in the Vorderasiatisches Museum in Berlin, Germany. This ancient Akkadian Cylinder Seal shows a six-pointed Star with a centered Sun/star. There is a resemblance to the Star of David in this Seal, in that it is a six-pointed star, however it does not appear to conform to overlaid equilateral triangles as is the Magen David. There exists added archaeological evidence of zodiacs from the same general time suggesting feasible Sumerian roots. As we can see in the Cylinder Seal below, The Star figure is central to the six-pointed star, encircled by 12 other planets, or stars/constellations. If this sign is not our Sun, then perhaps it could represent a shadow, or twin star of our Sun, as other bright stars are known to have like Sirius and Sirius B, for example. This could also fit with David residing in the royal throne and genealogy of Jesus Christ, as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

The Sun figure-a 6-pointed star, surrounded by 12 other celestial bodies generally fits numerous Jewish sources that depict the 12 Tribes of Israel encamped around the Tabernacle in their 40-year sojourn in the wilderness. Similar images are also depicted on the Breastplate of the High Priest, conforming to a cosmic order including 12 hours of the day, 12 months of the year, and 12 zodiacal signs. Judean tradition even depicts the 12 tribes camped around the Tabernacle in the form of a hexagram. In Figure 2 below, each point of the hexagram links to the center of six circles, around a center circle of the Tabernacle where God presented Himself to His people, encircled by the planets and the Moon, as seen below and in Figure 3.

The Star of David in Figure 3 shows the hexagram interlaced with these 2 equilateral triangles, and a hexagonal center, with the Light of the world. This Star of David provides an example of a God-centered Hebrew Solar System, including also a potential systematic map of planetary conjunctions, as they occur in the 12 celestial houses of the Mazzaroth. The history books relate that a heliocentric concept of the solar system was popularized by the ancient Greeks, specifically Aristarchus of Samos in the 2nd Century BC. But this did not catch on till Copernicus in the Middle Ages. Yet we find here further evidence of a heliocentric view going back to the Star of David at least as far as 1600-1400 BC, in excavations at Gezer painted on a ceramic bowl. 3

The Star of David (Magen David) predates Yah’shua Ha Mossiach (Jesus Christ the Messiah), by at least six centuries. The six-pointed star was used in Jewish architecture as a religious symbol of victory and protection for over 2600 years. We find Magen David‘s also prominent on synagogues, like Capernaum where Jesus taught! [Mark 1:21, Luke 4:31, John 6:59), dating from the Second Temple period, during the Messiah’s ministry.

There is much evidence that the six-pointed star was called the Shield of David because David’s name in Hebrew was spelled Daled, Vav, Daled. If you take the first and last triangles, the alpha & omega (Daleds) of “David” and interlace them, you have the Magen David. Encircling the triangles in the Mazzaroth joined in the first and last signs of Virgo/Leo-forming the Sphinx, as the unifying symbol in the context of the planetary unions in our solar system, including the Jupiter-Saturn series. The Star of David has also been used to diagram the seven days of the Creation week, and the Sabbath as a foundation in Hebrew and world timekeeping. In the graphic below, we find an example of how the hexagram has been used to diagram Bible truths, for example in Genesis 1:1, among many others. 5

Regarding the number 37, Tavares notes that “for the sum of the Fibonacci numbers indexed to the first 37 decimal digits of Phi, after the decimal point=401. This shows a link between Pi and Phi ratios, previously illustrated in various blog posts. Not only does the center word of value of Genesis 1:1, stand out as its only Prime Word value, it stands out as its shortest word, made up of the first and last letters of their alphabet; the Aleph and Tav. Since the Almighty God-Creator is fittingly set in the center of these seven words in Gen. 1:1, like both the Menorah between the other 6 candles, [Rev. 1:20] and the Star of David with the center hexagon of the six-pointed star, this also reveals an internal code of mirror symmetry in Gen. 1:1, that the sum of the prime factors of the words to the left of 401, yields the same value of the prime factors to the right of 401. 7 This also shows the Almighty God at the center of the Hebrew Scriptures in the Alpha verse of all of God’s written Word, as the Creator of all the material world inside the universe, as well as the spiritual world outside of it.

Building on this, Tavares posits the PHI STAR OF GENESIS 1:1 -based on the numerical value of Gen. 1:1 [2701] is the 37th regular hexagonal number, and hexagons/hexagrams are naturally related, Tavares placed the order of the 37 Fibonacci numbers, derived from the first 37 decimal digits of Phi, after the decimal point, in the form of a hexagram where these numbers total 401, seen below in Figure 4. 8

This shows the link between Genesis 1:1 and the number 37 is active with both Prime and Fibonacci numbers. We can see this also in the sum of numbers at the numbers in the apex triangle points of this Phi Star of Gen. 1:1, totaling 37. [8+13+1+13+2+0] 9

Added examples of sacred Phi geometry are found in the banner below, depicting a Phi relation between the orbital speeds of Earth and Jupiter-Saturn. As the planets move anti-clock wise around the ecliptic viewed from Earth, Jupiter’s orbital speed is in a Phi relation to the slower Saturn, shown in the banner below seen from the Earth. This shows added evidence of the Phi ratio order in our solar system.

We have shown extensively on our website and blog series the impact of the Great Conjunctions of Jupiter and Saturn in Biblical history, in the astronomical markings of the birth of Abram, the birth of Moses, finally leading up to the birth of Christ. For all intents and purposes, this planetary conjunction cycle could be considered a major aspect of what I have termed the “Celestial Prelude” in describing the celestial signs marking the general and specific periods to mark the birth of Christ. Biblical history shows that the deliverer of Israel and the world, would come from the Seed of Abraham, and deliver Israel as the forerunner Moses did.

With The Star of Bethlehem, we are told that the Jupiter-Saturn unions carry a lot of weight: In his Commentary on Daniel, Abarbanel {1437-1508} wrote that conjunctions of Jupiter and Saturn in the constellation of Pisces signified not only the most important events but also events which referred especially to Israel. The Rabbi argued that as the conjunction had taken place three years before the birth of Moses, an event which heralded the first deliverance of Israel, so it would also precede the birth of the Messiah and the final deliverance of Israel… What would Saturn, Jupiter and Pisces signify to the Magi astrologers? As New Testament scholar Raymond Brown points out, we cannot be sure how the Jews in the time of Jesus made their zodiacal calculations. The same scholar, however, goes on to say that ‘Pisces is a constellation sometimes associated with the last days and with the Hebrews, while Jupiter, an object of particular interest among Parthian astrologers, was linked with the world ruler and Saturn was identified as the star of the Amorites of the Syria-Palestine region’. The claim has been made that this conjunction might have led Parthian astrologers to predict that there would appear in Palestine among the Hebrews a world ruler of the last days, an apocalyptic king.10

Below we find depicted the Trigon of the Great Conjunction cycle by Johannes Kepler. He used this diagram to calculate the precession of the equinoxes based on the conjunction cycle of Jupiter-Saturn, as these giants of our solar system marked the opening of a new precessional age nearly every 2160 years, as they approach the vernal equinox. This triangular sequence of conjunctions and oppositions is completed in 60 years, as these 2 gas giants unite every 20 years, in an ongoing planetary union series. As each conjunction appears in a triplicity, that forms the triangular planetary union over 60 years, they transition to the next as seen in Figure 7, where the following Jupiter-Saturn union shifts to the earthly triplicity of Virgo.

Johannes Kepler, made a detailed study of the moving geometry of the sky, represented the periods of the planets by geometric figures with values based on the fundamental divisions of the circle into four, six and twelve sections measuring 90º, 60º and 30º. He made a model that related the five Platonic solids to the planetary orbits, where the cube occupied the space between the orbits of Saturn and Jupiter, and the tetrahedron between Jupiter and Mars. Since then many mind-boggling mathematical relationships have been discovered between the planets’ cycles, sizes and distances from each other, as well as their speed and axis inclinations, and even their rates of spin. These findings point to the presence of an Intelligent designer of the universe. They prove that, rather than evolving randomly, the Sun together with the planets and their moons form a unified, living system of the first order and elegance. 12

The graphic above depicts the Green triangle as earth, the Yellow triangle as air, the Blue Triangle as water, and the Orange Triangle as Fire, all unified in the Jupiter-Saturn series of conjunctions, in the central Star of David, as they make their way through the Mazzaroth, navigating these elemental celestial signs corresponding to earth, air, fire, water and ether.

The graphic in figure 7 below shows accurate values: in a tropical system, there will be 10 or 11 conjunctions, and in a sidereal system 11 or 12. Figure 7 below shows this visually, in a tropical system.

Every mean conjunction advances by 242° 58′ 32″ of the circle, or 2° 58′ 32″ in the actual degrees of the signs. If conjunction #1 is at 0° of a sign (here, Aries), then #2 will be at about 2° 58′ 32″ of Sagittarius, #3 at 5° 57′ 04″ Leo, and so on, always moving in a clockwise motion. But then #11 will be at 29° 45′ 20″, the last of the triplicity: the next conjunction will be a triplicity shift into the earthy triplicity, at 2° 43′ 52″ Virgo.

For Plato the five geometric solids called the Platonic Solids corresponded to the elements earth, water, air, fire and ether. The numbers and shapes have a qualitative as well as a quantitative dimension, which have been neglected in modern times.

Kepler viewed the planetary order along the lines of the “Music of the Sphere’s,” unifying the basis for the outer and inner planets. We see this in a geometric harmony of the solar system, with the orbits of the gas giants; Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. Figure 8 below depicts the outer, mean and inner orbits of Uranus, Saturn and Jupiter using an equilateral triangle and an octagram.

This is also a way of illustrating the structure of the musical Octave, with an eight-pointed star that halves or doubles the wavelengths or frequencies of the musical scale, with an equilateral triangle inscribed inside a circle, with 1/2 the diameter of its outer circle, seen in Fig. 8.

The geometry of this diagram not only depicts the musical order of these outer solar system planets, but since Jupiter and Saturn’s orbits are in the proportion of 6:11 to 99.99% accuracy, this is the octave or double of the 3:11 Moon to Earth ratio, to 99.9% accuracy, revealing a geometric harmony and mirror symmetry between the outer and inner planets. This 3:11 earth-moon proportion is also shared by two of our planetary neighbors, Mars and Venus, to 99.9% accuracy. Upon closer inspection 3:11 is 27.3%, and the Moon orbits the earth every 27.3 days, showing the harmonious pairing of the Earth and Moon. 16

So when the size of the Moon is compared to the Earth, in the figure below, the circle through the center of the Moon is equal to a circumference of the perimeter of the Square enclosing the Earth. This Square also embodies the base of the dimensions of the Great Pyramid, whose apex touches the circle in the center of the Moon. 17

The geometric order of the outer planets is further uncovered in the conjunctions of Jupiter and Saturn. The basis of the geometry of the six-sided star of Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions is uniquely found in the hexagon construct at the north pole of the planet Saturn, [Fig. 9]. In this graphic we are beholding the amazing basis of the geometric pattern of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction cycle.

If the six points of the hexagram or star tetrahedron are encircled in a sphere and if we add the planetary oppositions to the geometry of Jupiter-Saturn unions, the six-pointed star is formed, on a basis of the hexagram, as seen below in the upper and lower left corners of Figure 10. This graphic depicts the downward-pointing triangle of the hexagram with Jupiter at the upper right and Saturn at the low point of the triangle. The hexagon forms the corner-stone of the six-pointed “Star of David” mapping the unions of Jupiter-Saturn below. In May 2010 the last opposition stage in the current sixty-year cycle was reached, with Jupiter in Pisces opposing Saturn in Virgo. 18

When mapped, the progress of these grand conjunctions through the zodiac describes a series of equilateral triangles (Fig. 5). Every 60 years a triangle is completed, and

the planetary union returns to start, shifting however nine degrees anticlockwise in respect to its predecessors, thus forming a cycle of 800 years. Each 200 years the triangles shift to the next elements. From 1226-1425 they occurred in air signs, 1425-1603 in water, 1603-1802 in fire, and from 1802 to 2000 in earth. 20

A Biblical Astronomy perspective, provides view of planetary cycles of Jupiter-Saturn appearing in various zodiacal constellations around the ecliptic, noting the Biblical symbolism of each sign, combined with the planetary symbolism and Bible numerics to ascertain the meaning of these movements, in the context of Precessional and Biblical ages with sacred Geometry principles like the Phi, Pi and Lucas ratios, as found in the solar system and Great Pyramid. This includes categories of Heavenly Signs, Hebrew Feast and holy days, and Jubilee cycles, among other considerations.

Another application of the Star of David pattern of overlapping triangles is found in the dual ministries of the Messiah as the Priest/King. This is a powerful symbol for Jesus as the Son

of David, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root and offspring of David. [2Pet.1:19, Rev.22:16]. One example of these unified ministries of the King and High Priest is found

in the Gospel of John record [John 10:22-30];

Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was in the temple area in Solomon’s Colonnade. The Jews gathered about him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father’s name speak for me, but you do not believe because you do not belong to my flock. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” (John 10:22-30)

Two separate hints are given in this passage: 1) Jesus was in the temple area of Solomon’s Colonnade; and 2) he referred to his flock which means he was reminding his listeners that he is a Shepherd, in the same occupation as his forefather, King David. The image of the star of David is implied, that on another level symbolizes the joining together of the dual roles of king and high priest.

In the graphic below we have a geometric version of a six-petalled flower, called the Seed of Life in sacred geometry. Like the Pomegranate, these flowers are said to be the natural version of the Star of David in the Flower kingdom. The geometric pattern below is obtained by drawing 6 same-sized circles, that partially overlap each other, similar to the Vesica Pisces. If we look closely we can see the pattern of the Star of David within these circles also, that form the flower. In the overlapping circles on the top and bottom of this image, their common lozenge is divided in half by the inner circle surrounding the flower. These embody the upper and lower apex’s of the interlocking triangles, while the adjacent triangles provide the base angles of each triangle.

The pomegranate flower provides the ideal natural six-pointed star which may be one of the reasons it is found on the Ephod of the High Priest. They were found on the Hem of the Priest’s Ephod; his ceremonial robe that was worn while he ministered in the Tabernacle and Temple of Israel, [Exod. 28:31-35]. The pomegranates were alternated between small golden bells on the lower hem of the Ephod, which also held the High Priest’s Breastplate. This displayed fruitful works of the High Priest in his ministry. King Solomon was also said to have designed his crown based on a six-pointed star pattern of this sacred flower of the pomegranate. Here is a wonderful example of the dual ministries of our King and High Priest Jesus Christ who is the only perfect minister and our perfect redeemer, that we follow and obey as the head of our Spiritual body in his Church.

An added intriguing element is found as we consider how the 12 gems on the Breastplate link both to the 12 star-signs of the Mazzaroth, and the 12 tribes of Israel; this link takes you to an accurate account of how the tribes match their proper constellations. As the Star of David geometric structure also has 12 sides, as seen in the mid-lower row of Figure 10 above, we find a specific means whereby the conjunction series of Jupiter-Saturn, that marked the births of key Patriarchs leading to Christ, may have also provided an astronomical check and balance to the Urim and Thummim, also held in a pouch in the High Priest’s Breastplate.

As we walk in fellowship with our brothers and sisters in the body of Christ, rejoicing more and more as His Day approaches, in the resounding and reverberating truths of the Hope of Christ’s Return, we will stand together as super-conquerors in the Lord into eternity.

Honest Question: What does 2 divided by 3 equal? Give me your answer in percentage (means you’ll have to move the decimal). Only use 3 digits for your answer & don’t round up. I will show you later what I mean. So, answer the question: 2/3 = ?

Congratulations! If you got 66.6%, You just calculated the mark of the beast 666 just as you suspected. For those who added a 7 in their number… No, there’s no 7 in the number! You probably put a 7 because your calculators cannot calculate the number into infinity (another word for eternity) for which it goes. If it did, there would never be a 7. All 6’s. It does not round up. So you ask, why did I only use 3 digits?? I use my very last paragraph to explain why I say to only use 3 digits because I figured you all want me to get straight to the point of this calculation, right? Ok, so how did 2 divided by 3 come about?

Ok here goes… This is long because it has the scriptures. We have the number Three (3). First off, there is a pie three-thirds (3/3). That is a whole. That is the circle, which is the world. And the world is set to be DIVIDED. God’s portion is one-third (1/3), and the Devil’s portion is two-thirds (2/3). How can this be? Well, don’t take my word for it, let’s see what it says in the scripture!! First of all, before I get to explaining the numbers, remember the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares in Matthew 13? It says: “The field is the world [three-thirds], the good seeds are the SONS OF THE KINGDOM [God’s one-third], but the tares are the SONS OF THE WICKED ONE [the Devil’s two-thirds]. The enemy who sowed them is the DEVIL, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire [cut-off], so it will be at the end of this age.” Matthew 13:38-40 And we know that one who sows can only reap what he has sown. “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Galatians 6:7 So, because God is not a liar and this is His Word, He too can only reap what He sowed. He sowed one-third, so that is His portion that He will reap.

How do I know God only sowed one-third? See the scriptures: “And it shall come to pass in all the land,” Says the LORD, “That TWO-THIRDS in it shall be cut off and die [the devil’s portion], but ONE-THIRD shall be left in it [the Lord’s portion]: I will bring the ONE-THIRD through the fire [this is Jesus’ baptism of fire], will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people’; And each one will say, ‘The LORD is my God.’” Zechariah 13:8-9 Jesus will indeed baptize us with fire according to Matthew 3:11 and Luke 3:16, so the baptism of fire in the scripture above mimics what is said in 1 Corinthians 3:9-17 (which mentions our works being tested in the fire, yet we will be saved) AND Malachi 3:1-3 (which mentions Jesus as the Refiner’s Fire and purifier of silver).

And here is another Scripture: “You shall also take A SMALL NUMBER OF THEM [one-third] and bind them in the edge of your garment. Then take some of them again and throw them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire. From there a fire will go out into all the house of Israel.” Ezekiel 5:3-4 And that same scripture continues, this time mentioning all three-thirds: “ONE-THIRD of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst [the unbelievers, one-third of the devil’s two-thirds]; and ONE-THIRD shall fall by the sword all around you [Lukewarm believers, the other one-third of the devil’s two-thirds]; and I will scatter ANOTHER THIRD to all the WINDS [God’s one-third], and I will draw out a SWORD after them.” Ezekiel 5:12 This scripture just showed the entire pie of three thirds (3/3). Why will God draw out the sword after them? Knowing that the Word of God is Jesus (Revelation 19:13) in the flesh (John 1:14), and the Word is the sword (Hebrews 4:12), there’s a scripture that says: “And take the helmet of salvation, and the SWORD of the Spirit, WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD.” Ephesians 6:17 Ok, so how do I know the one-third that God will scatter to all the WINDS is God’s one-third? Because God’s one-third is all of those who are sealed by Him with His Holy Spirit, and the Scripture compares those with the Spirit as being like that of the WIND. See the scripture: “The WIND BLOWS where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:8 Another scripture: “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing MIGHTY WIND, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, AS OF FIRE, and one sat upon each of them. AND THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:1-4

Here is another Scripture regarding the number of people: “When the Most High DIVIDED their inheritance to the nations, WHEN HE SEPARATED THE SONS OF ADAM [the Devil’s two-thirds], He set the boundaries of the peoples, according to the NUMBER of the children of Israel. FOR THE LORD’S PORTION IS HIS PEOPLE [the Lord’s one-third]; Jacob [his name was changed to Israel] is the place of His inheritance.” Deuteronomy 32:8-9 There is something about this division here. Do you see how the math is calling to be DIVIDED? Let me show you in Scripture why that is: “Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather DIVISION. For from now on five in one house will be DIVIDED: THREE AGAINST TWO, AND TWO AGAINST THREE.” Luke 12:51-52 Jesus has come to DIVIDE. Notice what specifically Jesus is dividing!! TWO-THIRDS!!! 2 divided by 3 = 66.6% Yeah, but… How are they divided? I will show you how using scripture. See this scripture: “Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give YOU WHO ARE TROUBLED [God’s one-third] rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW GOD [these are the unbelievers and they are one-third of the devil’s two-thirds], and on THOSE WHO DO NOT OBEY THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST [these are the Lukewarm believer who will say Lord-Lord, the other one-third of the devil’s two-thirds, who know God’s Word/Jesus, but do not obey it by living according to the Spirit]. These [two-thirds -the devil’s portion] shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe [God’s one-third], because our testimony among you was believed.” 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10

Why did God sow less than the Devil? Why did the Devil sow more? Because God can do a lot with a few. It’s just like seeds (that’s why He only needs faith the size of a mustard seeds). God can plant a few seeds, and those seeds will grow fruit trees with hundreds of fruits on them, and those fruits will have seeds in them that can be planted in the ground to grow more trees & grow more fruit. God can multiply with just a few. It’s like math. If I plant 3 seeds, and they produce 3 trees (notice how I reaped what I sowed meaning 3 seeds reaped 3 trees). And say those 3 trees had on them 3 fruit each (3 x 3), then that is 9 fruit. Take the seeds from those 9 fruit and plant them in the ground, and they produce 9 more trees with 3 fruit each (9 x 3), then that is 27 fruit. God said in Genesis that this was good, and that everything He made like that, in a way that it could reproduce itself, (including food, animals, & man who can reproduce himself & make his own family tree), according to God was good! That is the basis of reaping and sowing seeds, remembering that it is God alone who gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6-7). Since only God can give the Increase, that means that only God can multiply. The Devil can’t multiply. So the only way he can get more is to sow more.

So, God sowed few (one-third), the devil sowed many (two-thirds). Now, here is an example in the Bible of God reaping FEW, and the devil reaping MANY: “Enter the narrow gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are MANY who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are FEW who find it. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.” Matthew 7:13-15 Notice how that scripture mentioned false prophets. That’s because God uses few prophets, while the devil uses many, and God wanted us to be aware that the devil has many! See the scripture: “Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the LORD; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men.” 1 Kings 18:22 Ok, So… WHY DID GOD CHOOSE ONE-THIRD INSTEAD OF ANY OTHER FRACTION? WHY DID HE SOW ONLY ONE-THIRD? THE FEW? WHAT DO THE NUMBERS MEAN?… LOOK AT IT LIKE THIS… LOOK AT THE NUMBERS SEPARATELY… ONE… THIRD… BECAUSE THE THREE ARE ONE… FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT. All who have the Holy Spirit become one with the Father and the Son. Scripture: “There is ONE BODY and ONE SPIRIT, just as you were called in ONE hope of your calling.” Ephesians 4:4 Scripture: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19 Scripture: “Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him AND MAKE OUR HOME WITH HIM [become one with him].” John 14:23 Scripture: “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth [Holy Spirit] who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.” John 15:26-27 Scripture: “Therefore let that [the Holy Spirit] abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.” 1 John 2:24 To abide means to dwell in & be ONE with the Father & the Son, which is why Jesus says They’ll make Their Home with those who let the Holy Spirit abide in them. And He says we’ve been with Him from the beginning because it’s the Holy Spirit in us that’s been with Him from the beginning. And the Holy Spirit is our seal, which is how Jesus will be able to identify us as God’s one-third. Scripture: “Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has ANOINTED US is God, who also has SEALED US and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a GUARANTEE [only if we continue to walk in the Spirit].” 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Scripture: “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the WORD OF TRUTH [Sword], the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the GUARANTEE of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.” Ephesians 1:13-15 Scripture: “Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a GUARANTEE.” 2 Corinthians 5:5 Scripture: “It is the Spirit who GIVES LIFE; the flesh profits nothing. The WORDS that I speak to you are SPIRIT, AND THEY ARE LIFE.” John 6:63 Scripture: “And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but THE SPIRIT IS LIFE because of righteousness.” Romans 8:10

So, why does the Devil have two-thirds? Other than the obvious, which is if the whole pie is three-thirds (3/3), and God has one-third (1/3), then the Devil has that which remains, two-thirds (2/3). But let’s explain it beyond the obvious… Again, look at the numbers. The Devil has TWO… THIRDS…because the THREE (which includes the Beast from the Sea/Anti-Christ, the Beast from the Earth/False Prophet, and the Dragon/The Accuser) ARE TWO (the 2 Beasts in Revelation 13)… because the Devil works through the TWO to deceive the 66.6% (the Many), to believe their lies & accept their testimony of the false 2 or 3 witnesses. So, for the Devil, the THREE are indeed TWO. And remember this scripture: “One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits; by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established.” Deuteronomy 19:15 Well The Devil is the accuser, He’s been accusing us from the beginning. (& Just like Jesus said, 3 against 2, and 2 against 3, so the devil is)… He is 3 in 2. He had 2 or 3 witnesses against us when He accused us of sin in front of God (according to Revelation 12:10). But the problem is, they were false accusations with false witnesses. He’s been false witnessing through his false prophets, the 2 beasts, and deceiving the world to believe his testimony like a defense lawyer who uses lies to defend a man he knows is guilty. & those who believe his lies become anti-christs like him: “Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now MANY antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.” 1 John 2:18

The Devil uses his 66.6% of the population to be of one mind with their father the devil, and become ONE BODY (a movement as in a body of people) with the Anti-Christ (false witness), and accuse God’s children, through their reproach of them… reproach being defined as “to disgrace or shame, to express criticism towards.” See the scripture: “For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful have opened against me; They have spoken against me WITH A LYING TONGUE. They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause. In return for my love they are my ACCUSERS, But I give myself to prayer. Thus they have rewarded me evil for good, And hatred for my love. Set a wicked man over him, and let an accuser stand at his right hand. When he is judged, let him be found guilty, and let his prayer become sin.” Psalm 109:2-7 And if you continue reading Psalm 109, it will show that they will be cut-off. The Dragon who is also known as the Accuser, his TWO beasts are false witnesses. Therefore, THE ACCUSER + THE 2 FALSE WITNESSES = 2 or 3. Two-thirds or 66.6%. And that’s how MANY people they will deceive… 66.6% of the world. Scripture: “He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. LET HIM WHO HAS UNDERSTANDING CALCULATE THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST, FOR IT IS THE NUMBER OF A MAN: His number is 666.” Revelation 13:16-18

Ok, so the scripture said to CALCULATE THE NUMBER. So now, let’s do the math. Let’s start off with God. God has ONE-THIRD: 1 divided by 3 is .33333. But the Devil has TWO THIRDS: 2 divided by 3 is .666666. This makes a total of THREE-THIRDS. The number would stop at 3 digits because 3 is a whole, a solid figure, a body, which I explain what that means the last paragraph. God’s 3 (.333) is His Holy Trinity for which there are 3: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. All of those who have the Holy Spirit (33.3%) will belong to the population of New Jerusalem (Holy City / Kingdom of God). The Devil’s 3 digits (calculated from his two-thirds) is .666. That is the number of the Beast 666, and his population (66.6%) will be damned to the Lake of Fire. See the Scripture: “Then A THIRD ANGEL [notice how it is a third angel, God used the 3RD because it mimics His one-third] followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, AND RECEIVES HIS MARK ON HIS FOREHEAD OR ON HIS HAND, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, AND WHOEVER RECEIVES THE MARK OF HIS NAME.’” Revelation 14:9-11 FYI, it says they will have no rest day nor night because along with their father the devil accused God’s children day & night according to Revelation 12:10. The Bible did indeed say to calculate the number, and that is the calculation. 2 divided by 3 = 666 or 66.6%. It will also be the name of a man (the Man of Sin in 2 Thessalonians 2), which is the Beast of the EARTH in Revelation 13 that is a man (human). Everyone who belongs to him, the devil’s two-thirds, will have his name/his mark on them, and all of them (the number of them) will make up two-thirds of mankind. Two-thirds of mankind 66.6% will have this mark because two-thirds belong to the devil. The devil needs to mark those who belong to him in order to seal them, just as God seals all of His children (His one-third) with His Holy Spirit in the 7th seal of Revelation. That’s why in Revelation 8, Notice how even in the first 4 trumpets, everything that was struck, from ONE-THIRD of vegetation (1st trumpet), to ONE-THIRD of the seas (2nd trumpet), to ONE-THIRD of the waters (3rd trumpet), to ONE-THIRD of the heavens (4th trumpet), to ONE-THIRD of man-kind (6th trumpet)… all was ONE-THIRD of each… Amazing how it came as a result of the prayers of the saints in verse 4 of Revelation 8, who just so happen to be God’s portion of ONE-THIRD, which is exactly who God takes at His 7th Trumpet sound, HIS ONE-THIRD!!! So this confirms, that what remains to receive the bowls of God’s wrath are indeed the devil’s two-thirds of 66.6%, which is his number 666!

The number 3. So why did I say to only use 3 digits? Other than the obvious reasons I stated above about God having 3 (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), and the Devil using 3 to mimic God in order to exalt himself above God, let’s go beyond the obvious. To see why I say to only use 3 digits, you must first understand the meaning of the number 3. Two straight lines cannot possibly enclose any space, or form a plane figure; neither can two plane surfaces form a solid. Three lines are necessary to form a plane figure; and three dimensions of length, breadth, and height, are necessary to form a solid. Hence three is the symbol of the cube–the simplest form of solid figure. Also note: a solid figure is a body or movement (body of people). And the Bible says many times that Jesus is Head of the BODY (God Head) and the church are the members of the BODY, and this body (the BODY of Christ) is the Kingdom of God (Colossians 1:12-18 and Luke 17:21). The number, Three, therefore, stands for that which is solid, real, substantial, complete, and entire. All things that are especially complete are stamped with this number three. There are three great divisions completing time: past, present, and future. Three persons, in grammar, express and include all the relationships of mankind. Thought, word, and deed, complete the sum of human capability. The simplest proposition requires three things to complete it: the subject, the predicate, and the copula. Three propositions are necessary to complete the simplest form of argument: the major premise, the minor, and the conclusion. Three kingdoms embrace our ideas of matter: mineral, vegetable, and animal. When we turn to the Scriptures, this completion becomes Divine, and marks Divine completeness or perfection. God is comprised of three: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). God is the Creator of the Heavens, Earth, & Sea and everything in them (Acts 14:15). God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob (Deuteronomy 30:20)… Ever wonder why He stopped at Jacob also known as Israel? Because it was whole at three. God is the first, the last, and the only God (Isaiah 44:6). God’s attributes are three: omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. Three denotes divine perfection. Hence the number three points us to what is real, essential, perfect, substantial, complete, and Divine. So that’s what it is!

Seminary of St. John Séminaire Syro-Chaldéen St. Jean, Maʿhad Mār Yūḥannā al-Ḥabīb

A prestigious Roman Catholic theological seminary in Mosul, Iraq, called Séminaire Syro-Chaldéen St. Jean in French. It was founded by the French Dominican Fathers in 1878, and though it was closed between the beginning of the First World War and 1923, it continued to serve the Chald. and Syr. Catholic churches until 1973, when it was shut down by the Iraqi authorities. It was divided into two main parts: Le Petit Séminaire, a junior and senior high school which consisted of six years of studies after elementary school, where the study of French, Syriac, and Arabic language and literature was essential, and Le Grand Séminaire, which consisted of two years of Philosophy and four years of Theology, including Biblical Studies. Throughout its history, the instruction in both parts of the Seminary was entirely in French, and its strength remained in the study of language and literature. Eminent scholars graduated from this institution, including 1. Awgen Manna (1866–1928) who published Dalīl al-rāghibīn fī lughat al-ārāmiyyīn [Guide for the Students of the Aramaic Language] (Mosul, 1900), an excellent Syriac-Arabic dictionary; 2. the well-known Alphonse Mingana (1878–1937) who published among other things the Chronicle of Arbela (Mosul, 1907) and Clef de la langue araméenne (Mosul, 1905), a valuable Syriac grammar; and 3. Addai Scher (martyred in Turkey in 1915), a prolific writer who published the Histoire nestorienne inédite (Chronique de Séert). Most of the professors were French Dominicans, including the great Syriacist Fr. Jean-Maurice Fiey (1914–95), who was the Director of the Seminary for a short period before he was forced to leave Iraq in 1973. A few Seminary graduates became professors there, as in the case of Mingana in the 1900s, and in the 1950s and 1960s Fr. Albert Abūnā, professor of Syriac, who published among other things the French translation of the second part of the Chronicle of 1234 (1974). Who was Samuel in the Bible?

Samuel, whose name means “heard of God,” was dedicated to God by his mother, Hannah, as part of a vow she made before he was born (1 Samuel 1:11). Hannah had been barren and prayed so fervently for a child that Eli the priest thought she was drunk (1 Samuel 1). God granted Hannah’s request, and, true to her promise, Hannah dedicated Samuel to the Lord. After Samuel was weaned, likely around the age of four, he was brought to the tabernacle to serve under Eli the priest (1 Samuel 1:22–25). Even as a child, Samuel was given his own tunic, a garment normally reserved for a priest as he ministered before the Lord in the tent of meeting at Shiloh, where the ark of the covenant was kept (1 Samuel 2:18; 3:3). Traditionally, the sons of the priest would succeed their father’s ministry; however, Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were wicked in that they were immoral and showed contempt for the Lord’s offering (1 Samuel 2:17, 22). Meanwhile, Samuel continued to grow in stature and in favor with the Lord and with men (1 Samuel 2:26).

At a time when prophecies and visions were rare, Samuel heard what he first believed to be Eli calling him during the night. Though the young Samuel was ministering in the tabernacle, he still didn’t know the Lord, and the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him (1 Samuel 3:7). The first three times the Lord called Samuel, the boy responded to Eli. Eli then understood what was happening and instructed Samuel to respond to the Lord if he called again. Then, "The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, ’samuel! Samuel!' Then Samuel said, ’speak, for your servant is listening'" (1 Samuel 3:10). God gave him a message of judgment to relay to Eli. The following day, Samuel took his first leap of faith, telling Eli everything, even though the message was bad news for Eli and his family (1 Samuel 3:11–18). Eli responded with acceptance. Samuel’s credibility as a prophet spread throughout Israel, and God continued to reveal His Word to His people through Samuel (1 Samuel 3:20–21).

The Philistines, perennial enemies of Israel, attacked God’s people. Eli’s sons were killed in the battle, and the ark of the covenant was captured and taken to Philistia. Upon hearing the news of his sons’ deaths, Eli also died. After several months, the Philistines returned the ark to Israel, where it remained at Kiriath Jearim for over twenty years. As the Israelites cried out to God for help against the Philistine oppressors, Samuel instructed them to be rid of the false gods they had been worshiping. With Samuel’s leadership, and by God’s power, the Philistines were overcome, and there was a time of peace between them (1 Samuel 7:9–13). Samuel was recognized as the judge of all Israel.

Like Eli’s sons, Samuel’s two sons, Joel and Abijah, sinned before God by seeking dishonest gain and perverting justice. Samuel had appointed his sons as judges, but the elders of Israel told Samuel that because he was too old and his sons did not walk in his ways, they wanted Samuel to appoint a king to rule like other nations had (1 Samuel 8:1–5). Samuel’s initial reaction to their demand was one of great displeasure, and he prayed to God about the matter. God told Samuel that they had not rejected him, but had rejected God as their king. God gave Samuel leave to permit their request but warned the people what they could expect from a king (1 Samuel 8:6–21).

In time, Saul, a Benjamite, was anointed by Samuel as Israel’s first king (1 Samuel 10:1). Even so, Samuel called on God for a sign to show the Israelites the evil of choosing to replace their true king—God—with an earthly king (1 Samuel 12:16–18). After a time, Samuel learned that Saul had been rejected by God to lead His people because of Saul’s disobedience (1 Samuel 13:11–13). Samuel immediately warned Saul that God had already sought out a replacement for him (1 Samuel 13:14). After Saul continued to disobey, Samuel denounced him as king (1 Samuel 15:26). Samuel returned home, never to be at King Saul’s side again, but he mourned for him (1 Samuel 15:35). God instructed Samuel to choose another king from the family of Jesse (1 Samuel 16:1), and Samuel anointed Jesse’s youngest son, David (1 Samuel 16:13). Samuel died before David was made king, though, and "all Israel assembled and mourned for him" (1 Samuel 25:1).

The life of Samuel was pivotal in Israel’s history. He was a prophet, he anointed the first two kings of Israel, and he was the last in the line of Israel’s judges, considered by many as the greatest judge (Acts 13:20). Samuel is cited alongside Moses and Aaron as men who called on God and were answered (Psalm 99:6). Later in Israel’s history, when the Israelites were living in disobedience to God, the Lord declared they were beyond even the defense of Moses and Samuel, two of Israel’s greatest intercessors (Jeremiah 15:1). This is a clear indication of the power of Samuel’s prayers—and the depth of Israel’s sin in Jeremiah’s day.

There is much to learn from the life of Samuel. In particular, we see the sovereignty of God in Israel, no matter whom the people chose to reign over them. We may allow other things or people to occupy the throne of our hearts, but God will always remain sovereign and will never accept usurpers to His authority in the lives of His subjects.

We can imagine how daunting it must have been for the young Samuel to give an honest account of his first vision to Eli. However, it appears that, even from a young age, Samuel’s absolute allegiance was to God first. There may be times when we feel intimidated by those in authority, but, as Samuel proved more than once, it is God who must remain our priority. The world may look on us cynically when we remain steadfast in our faith. However, we can be confident that God will vindicate those who have remained faithful to His Word (Psalm 135:14).

Though Samuel had deep reservations about letting the people have a king, he was quick to consult God about the matter and abided by His decision (1 Samuel 8:6–7). Many of us may consult God about important decisions in our lives, but how many of us are ready to accept His counsel and abide by it, especially when it appears to go against our own desires? Leaders in particular can learn from Samuel’s example of the power he derived from his close relationship with God, generated by a healthy prayer life. Samuel was a great man of prayer, and his people respected him for it (1 Samuel 12:19, 23). Even though Samuel was aware of the evil in Saul’s life, he never stopped praying and mourning for him. Indeed, Samuel described it as a sin not to pray for the people under his care. Perhaps too quickly we may deem a brother beyond restoration when we see him fall into sin. Certainly, God’s plans for each individual will come to pass, but it should never stop us from continuing to pray and care for those who are weaker in their faith (Romans 15:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:14).

The main theme throughout Samuel’s life is that God alone should receive the glory and honor. After making his sons judges, it must have been a very sad thing for Samuel to learn that they were unfit to lead. When he consulted God about the people’s request for a king, nothing was said in defense of his sons. Samuel was obedient to God’s instructions to give the people what they wanted.

A key verse in the life of Samuel relates his words to King Saul: “But Samuel replied: ‘Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams’” (1 Samuel 15:22). Obedience to God’s Word must always be our top priority.

Saturn, Satan, Set and Tan

A contemporary folk etymology that connects Saturn to the Hebrew word Satan, שָׂטָן, meaning adversary or accuser, seems worthy of consideration as no convincing etymologies for the word Satan appear.[1] Again, this assumes a late development of the Hebrew Bible, which this study does.

Etymologists believe Saturn originates from the Etruscan subterranean deity Satre whose name meaning is unknown. It certainly seems possible, if not likely, that they represent essentially the same chthonic deity particularly since the Etruscans appear to have had a crypto-Jewish or proto-Jewish element. Though this derivation is of course undisruptive to the idea that the word Satan is also related to Saturn. Rather its possible all words share a common root.

In the New Testament Satan appears in the Greek as Diabolos, διάβολος, and Satanas, Σατανᾶς. The names appear to describe a figure who is also the serpent in the Garden of Eden. Famously in John 8:44, Jesus accuses Jews who he is imploring to “accept his message” as being the children of diabolos. The interaction in John is worthy of close study but ostensibly this would give these Jews, at least in these passages, the same relationship to Satan that Tacitus’ Histories speculatively gives them to Saturn.

In Revelation 3:9 the Greek word Satanas is used in the famous passage: “Look at those who belong to the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews but are liars instead.” Here it is important to note a distinction is actually being made between Jews and liars who belong to the Synagogue of Satan, something Christian anti-Semites always overlook or fail to mention. But this passage makes sense as Christ himself was a Rabbi.

To be clear, to the extent we understand Saturn as akin to Satan, this is in no way disruptive of the idea that Saturn is a proto-Jewish God which appears unequivocal. Again, JEM commonly reveals caducean conflicts between two factions that are ultimately pro-Jewish, whether between Yahweh and the Serpent in the Garden of Eden or between Christ and Jews in the New Testament. It may, however, suggest Saturn as closer to Vulcan or the Demiurge in gnostic teachings versus a charismatic Adonis-like Dying-and-Rising “Love God.”

In any case, the Greek Satanas might be suggestive of “Saturnus,” the name of Saturn in Latin. Certainly in the Roman Empire, where Christianity would gain its foothold, it seems the name Satanas would conjure this pantheonic and well known Saturnus to mind. Indeed, Saturn enjoyed a salient temple at the western end of the Roman Forum at the foot of the Capitoline Hill from the 5th century BC into the 4th century AD. Presumably only the most ignorant Latin speakers would be unfamiliar with this major, central deity.

Saturn’s temple was used, for at least a period, as the “Aerarium” or state treasury as Saturn, God of the “Golden Age,” was understood as a wealth God. With Aerarium perhaps we are reminded of the later Norse myths of golden ring hordes protected by dragons such as Fafnir who was formerly a dwarf. Both Dwarfs and Dragons become Semitic figures in our understanding.

Whether such likely Jewish myths drew inspiration from similar ancient treasures is, of course, speculation. However that such treasuries in Rome were dedicated to Saturn might suggest a crypto-Jewish influence hinted at through REM or mysterious allusion. To be clear, this would not necessarily be moralizing to Jews, who would be indicated as money handlers below a marital, Aryan noble class represented by figures like Jupiter.

The devil of the New Testament likewise appears attached to a worldly, materialism particularly in contrast to Christ. This is especially apparent in Matthew 4:9, for instance, where Satan promises Jesus all the kingdoms of the world (kosmos), if Christ will fall down and worship him. Jesus declares “Away from me, Satanas!” There is likely more to the episode when Christ chases the moneychangers out of the temple in Jerusalem. However when the parable is taken at face value, this “market place” temple is perhaps suggestive of a Temple of Saturn.

Though a temple that is a “market place” and a “den of thieves” also conjures the Semitic Mercury to mind who was known as Mercury Agoraeus,[2] the God of Merchants and Mercury Archus Pheleteon,[3] God of Thieves. Mercury too enjoyed an ancient temple in Rome, his on the Aventine Hill dating back to 495 BC.[4] In revelation 12:9 the Devil is referred to as the “ancient serpent,” “Diabolos,” “Satanas” and “the deceiver (planaó) of the whole world.” In 1 John as well the antichristos or “anti-Christ” is also described as “a liar” and “the deceiver.” Mercury, with his serpentine caduceus, is commonly guessed to have developed from earlier serpent Gods. Mercury was also known as Mercury Clepsiphron[5] or Mercury the Deceiver.

Indeed, one obvious example of a “proto-Mercury” was the Egyptian Heka, who is said to have killed two serpents and entwined them on a staff. This is often believed to be the origin of Mercury’s caduceus. Speculatively, we might guess a Hebrew name for temple, Hekal, הֵיכַל, which is of an unknown origin, is related to Heka, a God of Magic, Medicine and Healing. This study argues that Mercury represents a Priest type as well as a Magician type, to which figures like Aaron and Moses are related. Certainly the God Heka would also represent something similar. [6]

Hence it may make sense that a Hebrew name for a temple might develop as a reference to some Mercury equivalent like Heka. Given the character of these deities it would tend also to reveal a utilitarian cynicism toward Religion found throughout JEM as this study demonstrates, where it is acknowledged as magic or deception. Possibly the Semitic figure of Hecate/Hekate, a Psychopomp similar to Mercury, is also related to Heka and Hekal. Etymologists guess Hecate’s name is related to hekas, ‘εκας, meaning “far off” but this meaning seems unrelated to her Religious and Cultural function.

Possibly the name of the Egyptian God Set or Seth is related to Satan. And again one derivation does not exclude the other, as names may be intelligently developed as double references perhaps with the intention of magnifying a subliminal impact or simply for the sake of making an especially clever reference. This study suggests that the Biblical figure of Sheth or Seth, שֵׁת, brother of Cain and Abel, is related to the Egyptian God of the same name. Indeed Seth or Set was the deity of the Hyksos, a group this study classifies as proto-Jewish. Set, as a deity we understand as proto-Jewish, is not unrelated to Saturn at least according to Interpretatio Romana. For instance, the Greeks associated the son of Saturn, Typhon, with Set.

A Biblical Hebrew word set, שֵׂט, distinct from the name Seth, appearing in Hosea 5 means “revolter,” “swerver” or “deeds that swerve” (i.e. sin). It is related to sut, שׂוּט, meaning “to swerve” or “fall away” and carrying similar connotations. Speculatively Satan is a portmanteau of Seth, שֵׁת, or set, שֵׂט, and Tan, תַּן, meaning “Jackal.” Tan shares a root with Tannin, תַּנִּין, meaning “serpent,” “dragon,” and “sea monster.” Tannin is also sometimes translated from the Hebrew Bible as “jackal.”

Here it is useful to understand that the God Set or Seth was represented by a Jackal in Egypt, while his equivalent, Typhon, as a serpent or sea monster by the Greeks. Anubis was the Greek name for another Jackal-headed Egyptian God associated with Pluto or Mercury and understood as a God of Death, mummification and the underworld. In The Omen film series (1976-2016), developed by Jewish creator David Seltzer, the child Antichrist Damien Thorn, is discovered to have jackal blood and is the son of Satan and a female Jackal. Perhaps Seltzer was thinking of the Hebrew Tannin.

The ancient Romans had several opinions about the derivation of the Latin word Vaticanus.[1] Varro (1st century BC) connected it to a Deus Vaticanus or Vagitanus, a Roman deity thought to endow infants with the capacity for speech evidenced by their first wail (vagitus, the first syllable of which is pronounced [waː-] in Classical Latin). Varro's rather complicated explanation relates this function to the tutelary deity of the place and to the advanced powers of speech possessed by a prophet (vates), as preserved by the later antiquarian Aulus Gellius:

We have been told that the word Vatican is applied to the hill, and the deity who presides over it, from the vaticinia, or prophecies, which took place there by the power and inspiration of the god; but Marcus Varro, in his book on Divine Things, gives another reason for this name. "As Aius," says he, "was called a deity, and an altar was built to his honour in the lowest part of the new road, because in that place a voice from heaven was heard, so this deity was called Vaticanus, because he presided over the principles of the human voice; for infants, as soon as they are born, make the sound which forms the first syllable in Vaticanus, and are therefore said vagire (to cry) which word expresses the noise which an infant first makes".[2]

St. Augustine, who was familiar with Varro's works on ancient Roman theology,[3] mentions this deity three times in The City of God.[4]

Vaticanus is more likely to derive in fact from the name of an Etruscan settlement, possibly called Vatica or Vaticum, located in the general area the Romans called vaticanus ager, "Vatican territory". If such a settlement existed, however, no trace of it has been discovered. The consular fasti preserve a personal name Vaticanus in the mid-5th century BC, of unknown relation to the place name.[1]

Vaticanus Mons (or Vaticanus Collis[5]) was most often a name in Classical Latin for the Janiculum.[6][1] Cicero uses the plural form Vaticani Montes in a context that seems to include the modern Vatican Hill and the Monte Mario and the Janiculan hill.[7][1]

The Ager Vaticanus or Campus Vaticanus was originally a level area between the Vaticanus Mons and the Tiber. During the Republican era, it was an unwholesome site frequented by the destitute.[8] Caligula and Nero used the area for chariot exercises, as at the Gaianum, and renewal was encouraged by the building of the Circus of Nero, also known as the Circus Vaticanus or simply the Vaticanum. The location of tombs near the Circus Vaticanus is mentioned in a few late sources.[1]

The Vaticanum was also the site of the Phrygianum, a temple of the Magna Mater goddess Cybele. Although secondary to this deity's main worship on the Palatine Hill, this temple gained such fame in the ancient world that both Lyon, in Gaul, and Mainz, in Germany called their own Magna Mater compounds "Vaticanum" in imitation.[9] Remnants of this structure were encountered in the Seventeenth Century reconstruction of St. Peter's Square.

Vaticanus Mons came to refer to the modern Vatican Hill as a result of calling the whole area the "Vatican" (Vaticanum). Christian usage of the name was spurred by the martyrdom of St. Peter there.[1] Beginning in the early 4th century AD, construction began on the Old St. Peter's Basilica[10] over a cemetery that is the traditional site of St. Peter's tomb. Around this time, the name Vaticanus Mons was established in its modern usage, and the Janiculum hill was distinguished from it as the Ianiculensis Mons.

Another cemetery nearby was opened to the public on 10 October 2006 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Vatican Museums.[11]

Benedict's 'Grey Eminence'

Following Pope Benedict XVI's recent visit to America, there was some grumbling from social justice activists that the pope said relatively little about matters ranging from climate change to Third-World debt. This reflects, they suggested, the pope's disinterest in "real" issues.

From his papacy's beginning, Pope Benedict has indeed proved remarkably reluctant to enter into detailed discussion of policy questions. There are two reasons for this. First, just after being elected pope, Benedict reaffirmed that the Catholic Church does have non-negotiable positions on particular matters, most notably the protection of innocent human life, marriage, and religious liberty properly understood.

But Pope Benedict also reaffirmed the Church's teaching that, as far as other policy issues are concerned, lay Catholics are free to make their own prudential judgments, guided, of course, by Catholic principles. Even within the Catholic Church, it is not well-understood that Catholics enjoy remarkable liberty to take a variety of positions on most policy questions.

The second reason for Pope Benedict's disinterest in policy details, however, ultimately reflects his view about how Catholics ought to approach social-political questions.

In this regard, perhaps the greatest influence upon Pope Benedict's social thought – his grey eminence – is a French Jesuit theologian who died 17 years ago. Born in 1896, Henri de Lubac experienced the twentieth century's upheavals at first hand. He fought in the trenches of World War I, participated in the French Resistance during World War II, worked as a theological expert at Vatican II, and served as friend and intellectual interlocutor to both Karol Wojtyla and Joseph Ratzinger.

Like Ratzinger, de Lubac was considered somewhat avant-garde before Vatican II. He consequently experienced considerable unpleasantness at the hands of overzealous church officials.

But after Vatican II, de Lubac, like Ratzinger, emerged as a formidable defender of Catholic orthodoxy. De Lubac also continued to endure harassment for his views. This time, however, the odium theologica came from heterodox theologians such as Hans Kung, whose agenda amounted (as it still does) to dissolving Catholicism into a secularized, hyper-politicized, bureaucratized, and doctrinally empty pseudo-Christianity.

But Ratzinger and de Lubac's similarities go beyond this. They shared the conviction that the road to Church renewal is not immersion in whatever happens to be the latest intellectual fashion.

Authentic renewal, de Lubac held, could only occur by going back to the original sources of Christian inspiration – most notably, Scripture grounded in the Church's Tradition as well as the Church Fathers – and then using this as a basis to think about the present. This, de Lubac argued, was the best way to articulate a distinctly Christian message to the modern world.

A good example of how this applied to social issues is de Lubac's book, Catholicisme: Aspects sociaux du dogme (1938). In his Memoirs, Ratzinger recalls the impact this text had on his own thought. Indeed, it is directly cited in Pope Benedict's encyclical Spe Salvi.

Catholicisme draws upon Scripture and early and medieval Church Fathers to think through what the nature of the Church itself suggests about the individual's place in society. The beauty of this approach is that it brings to the surface ideas that cannot be neatly categorized as "Right" or "Left." Rather, it produces a distinctly Christian perspective that explodes our increasingly sterile secular political categories.

This method was on display during two recent speeches delivered by Pope Benedict.

One was his United Nations address in which Pope Benedict politely but firmly noted that the very notion of human rights was first conceptualized by Catholic theologians and only ultimately made sense when grounded in a biblical vision of man. This is a way of talking about rights that cuts through the morass of much contemporary rights-talk, which is reflected in the typically incoherent statements about rights produced by most international organizations.

The second speech was Pope Benedict's recent May 3 address to the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences. Here the pope reflected upon the nature of subsidiarity and solidarity. Drawing upon Scripture and commentaries from Augustine and Aquinas, Pope Benedict reminded his audience that the ultimate purpose of these principles is not efficiency or equality. Rather, it is "to place men and women on the path to discovering their definitive, supernatural destiny."

Neither solidarity nor subsidiarity, Pope Benedict stated, have purely "horizontal" (i.e., earthly) meaning. They also have "vertical" (i.e., transcendental) significance. Solidarity, Pope Benedict wrote, is ultimately about helping others to encounter life in all its fullness, something only completely realized through life in Christ.

Subsidiarity, Pope Benedict maintained, "liberates people from a sense of despondency and hopelessness, granting them the freedom to engage with one another in the spheres of commerce, politics, and culture." But above all, Pope Benedict added, subsidiarity makes "space for love ... which always remains the most excellent way."

None of this is to suggest that Pope Benedict or de Lubac thinks that politics or public policy is unimportant. Their point is that if you truly believe in the truth found in the sources of orthodox Christianity, then you will think and act as if the transcendental destiny (Heaven or Hell) that everyone can freely choose for themselves is real, and such considerations will shape every moral decision you make, including your political choices.

That's the core of Pope Benedict's social message. It's hard to imagine a more radical one.

"Nebuchadnezzar’s successor, Awil-Marduk, set the stage for the submission of the empire to the Medo-Persians. Weakened over the next few decades by internal divisions, the strongly fortified Babylon fell without a fight in 539 BCE to Cyrus the Great’s forces. The Persians were generally tolerant toward the nations they defeated, allowing them to retain their culture and religion. An example of their permissive attitude came soon after the fall of Babylon. Cyrus issued a proclamation returning the Jewish captives in Babylon to Jerusalem with instructions to rebuild the temple destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar.

Though the Persians did not initially interfere in Babylon’s religious practices, the political power of the Babylonian priesthood (who were Chaldean magi) eventually became a problem. The temple had always been central to Babylonian life, with an entire culture and economy surrounding the Ziggurat of Marduk. As a result, the Chaldean priests were a powerful elite. They were often more powerful than the Babylonian king himself: the monarch had to acknowledge the priests’ intermediary role and “take the hands of Marduk” before assuming the throne. The king thus became the son of the god and was obliged to protect the religious hierarchy."

The priests frustrated the Persians’ tolerance when, in an attempt to retain their behind-the-scenes political power, they installed one of their own, a priest posing as the king’s brother Smerdis, as ruler of Babylon. The imposter was discovered and killed by the Persians. Following a subsequent revolt when the priests again set up their own Babylonian ruler, the Persian king Xerxes came and destroyed Babylon in 487 BCE. In the process, he tore down the temples and removed the statue of Marduk.

At this point, around 480 BCE, the Babylonian priests are thought to have left the city and reestablished their base elsewhere. According to one source, “the defeated Chaldeans fled to Asia Minor, and fixed their central college at Pergamos, and took the palladium of Babylon, the cubic stone, with them. Bible scholars further indicate that the Chaldean priesthood did not make Pergamos their final home. When the city was given to Rome, the priesthood sought out the new power center and moved to the Italian peninsula. Within the pagan Roman Empire they were able to continue their ancient Chaldean practices. This influence gradually extended into Roman Christianity. Peter was called Simon when he was born and he was a fisherman. He met Jesus near the Sea of Galilee. He decided to give up everything so that he could follow Jesus and listen to him talk about God. As far as Simon Magus goes, even those now considered to be early supporters of the Roman Catholic Church condemned him. Yet, those who claim Christ really should look into whether or not they have adopted the non-biblical heresies that Simon Magus and his later followers adopted. We do not know how or when Simon Magus died (there are various legends). Some early reports indicate he was buried in Samaria or in Rome. Some suspect that burial was in Vatican hill.

Notice the following:

Elevating his personal teachings above the Bible, and preaching a "no-works" doctrine of salvation, Simon Magus soon had a universal, popular following. Deified by the Romans, he was buried on Vatican Hill. ...

The records regarding Simon's death vary widely. Many of the stories try to incorporate some fiction from the Greek and Egyptian myths to enhance the reader's interest in this fascinating character. But the earliest records say that he was buried in Rome after a long period of great honour and deification.

It is not clearly known where Simon Magus alias Simon Pater or Simon Jupiter was buried. But this much is known. The place of burial for ALL prophets and holy men of the Romans was in the sacred cemetery on Vatican Hill. This much is certain.

Notice what Werner Keller in his The Bible as History says about the so-called burial of the Catholics' Peter. (Before reading Keller's statement, let us remember that he is a thorough-going Catholic and firmly, himself, believed that the Apostle Peter was buried in Rome.

However, the Bible shows nothing of the kind. Now, let's read Keller's comment — the official comment of the Roman Catholic Church):

"On the night of his death on the cross Peter's followers BURIED his body. As in the case of Jesus on the hill of Calvary it was wrapped in linen and secretly taken to a PAGAN BURIAL GROUND on the Via Cornelia, behind the stone structure of the arena. This PAGAN CEMETERY lay on a knoll called VATICANUS: the Latin word 'vatis' means a 'prophet' or 'SOOTHSAYER'. In days gone by there had been an Etruscan oracle on this spot" (p. 368).

What an admission!

Keller ought to have better sense to know that this Peter buried in this cemetery, of all places, could NOT be the Apostle Peter. In the first place, Peter was a Jew, and they had to be buried in their own cemeteries. And even if by a happen-chance a Jew could be buried in a Roman cemetery, it is most unlikely that a Jew — especially one who attacked the Roman religion as the Apostle Peter did — would ever have been allowed into the most holy of pagan cemeteries! On March 17, 1970, a curious article appeared in the Oakland Tribune. It was a report of an interview with Anton Szandor LaVey, Founder and "High PRIEST" of the "Church of Satan" in San Francisco, and the author of the Satanic Bible. Members of the Church of Satan wear an inverted pentagram, or pentacle (a well-known 'Satanic' symbol) with a a goathead on the inside of the circle. The cover of The Satanic Bible also bears an inverted pentagram, or satanic pentacle.

The Oakland Tribune article reported that LaVey had become " a favorite speaker at the University of San Francisco." When asked about his engagements at that university, LaVey proudly replied, "the Jesuits are my greatest audience." In case the reader was not already aware, the University of San Francisco is a renowned Jesuit institution of higher learning.

The statement by Satanist Anton LaVey about his work at this Jesuit University is no mystery. We invite the reader to give attention to this most audacious passage found in the writings of the Jesuit scholar Anthony Escobar. In his Secret Instructions, Escobar treats to what is perhaps the most innovative principle of Jesuitism (Roma Catholicism): "IT IS LAWFUL... THE definition of magic, as used in this book, is: "The change in situations or events in accordance with one's will, which would, using normally accepted methods, be unchangable." This admittedly leaves a large area for personal interpretation. What does the Bible say about white magic?

White magic is described as “good” magic, as opposed to black magic, which draws upon the powers of evil beings. Opinions vary as to the differences between black and white magic, ranging from the idea that they are two names for exactly the same thing, to the belief that they are completely different, especially in goals and intent. The Bible does not differentiate between “good” and “bad” magic. Magic is magic as far as the Bible is concerned. Scripture doesn’t distinguish whether the magic is supposed to be used for good or for bad; it’s all forbidden because it appeals to a source of power other than God.

Those who practice white magic, also often called Wicca, worship the creation rather than the Creator, and, while they may not call on the devil or evil spirits, they often appeal to “mother earth,” angels, and/or the elements. The central Wiccan theme is, “if it does no harm, do your own will.” Many who dabble in white magic call themselves Wiccans, whether they actually are or not. Although Wicca is fairly open-ended and there are various “denominations” and theological positions within the belief, there are certain beliefs, practices, and traditions that connect adherents of white magic to Wicca.

Whether the intent is to venerate “mother earth,” the elements, or the angels, and even if one intends to do only good, the reality is that, ultimately, there is no distinction between white and black magic because they both worship something other than God. It’s frightening to think that the adherents of white magic are unknowingly praying to and beseeching the same god that adherents of black magic are—Satan.

Throughout Scripture, in both the Old and New Testaments, all forms of witchcraft are in violation of God’s law and are condemned. (Deuteronomy 18:10–16; Leviticus 19:26, 31; 20:27; Acts 13:8–10). Pharaoh’s magicians used their “secret arts” to try to duplicate the miracles done by Moses and Aaron (Exodus 7:11; 8:7)—secret arts are the ceremonies or rituals sorcerers use to accomplish their magic, involving incantations, spells, magic words, charms, amulets, etc. The apostle Paul condemned Elymas the sorcerer, proclaiming him a “child of the devil” who was full of “all kinds of deceit and trickery” and was “perverting the right ways of the Lord” (Acts 13:10). The apostle Peter likewise condemned Simon the magician in Acts 8:20–23. Nowhere in the Bible is a practicing sorcerer or magician portrayed in a positive light. A possible exception are the magi who brought gifts to Jesus; however, in the East the title magi was frequently given to philosophers or learned men who studied the secrets of nature, astronomy, and medicine. Jesus’ visitors were “wise men,” but not necessarily sorcerers. The Bible shows them worshiping the Lord (Matthew 2:11), not casting spells.

Scripture says that God hates all magic, whether it is white magic or some other kind. Why? Because it doesn’t come from God. Satan deceives people by making them think white magic is beneficial. Satan pretends to be an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), but his desire is to ensnare the souls of as many as he can. The Bible warns against him and his evil tricks. “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). Real spiritual power only comes from God, from a right relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ, and from the Holy Spirit who lives in the hearts of believers.
